F2p Easy way to Level Magic (Without Hitpoints exp)

So you have either started a pure, a new character, or are just too lazy to keep clicking monsters. Well this is the place for you.

*Please do not use auto clickers to stay logged in, as this is against the rules.

Ok, so here's the details.

North of the Lumbridge Castle is a training facility, which offers dummies for ranged, melee, and magic. The melee and ranged dummies are rather useless, as they reward hardly any exp. However, the magic ones reward full splash exp, so fire strikes reward 11exp per hit. Since Mind runes and Air runes are relatively cheap, this makes leveling Magic relatively easy at this location for those who can't afford large amounts of Law Runes, and also doesn't require anywhere near as much clicking.

So what you do,

First get your magic to level 9. You can do this at the dummies using lower leveled strike spells, or do Witch's Potion and Imp Catcher quests.

Secondly, get a fire staff and Mind and Air runes. You will need twice the amount of Air Runes as Mind Runes, so if you have 5k minds, you will need 10k airs.

Thirdly, just head to the training spot and attack a Mage Dummy. Not many people are usually there, and each server can have 3 people there at once.

All you have to do is click the mouse or move the camera once every 5 minutes, though I urge you not to try AFKing with this, as that would be against the rules.

If you're puzzled at why the dummies don't "die" it's because they return to full health after each attack, though you don't see it.

It's pathetically slow exp, Alcing would be far better and be, in some cases, cheaper. Doing Barrows with Slayer Dart is still a lot faster with profit.

1) Alching is a lot more clicking. Which is why people choose this method.

2) Barrows? If you can do Barrows then why are you even looking at this guide? This is mainly for F2P

Well then in FTP Striking Lesser demons in the Karmajan Valcano is better XP and costs less, and it's still very AFKable. EDIT: Yah it gives HP XP, but why you wouldn't want that I wouldn't know. HP hardly gives any combat levels, and if you're both low defence and low hp you're going to get slaughtered by range pures, or anyone else for that matter.

When you go feather dragon god, you never go back.

They give Hitpoints Exp.

lols

First strike is not 9 mage, its 13

I guess due to the insanely high price of water and earth runes, this beats cursing.

but seriously, HP lvls are a good thing

I'd sacrifice 2 combat levels for an extra 6+ hp

and if you train magic last, it'll barely give you any hp lvls

Just so you know for your future reference, you could have asked a mod to move your old topic instead of reposting :)

I suppose this is a viable method for special instances. It IS a lot less clicking than alching, but there's no doubt that it is far less effective.

Do you have specific numbers on the hourly cost and xp?
