November 23, 200916 yr Howdy chaps!Got home last night and started my computer up, it started for about 15 seconds and then shut itself off. It did this a few times and now it won't work at all...not sure what's up as I've checked all leads, connections etc and they're all connected and seem fine. The Mobo and power switch LEDs are both working, so i'm guessing it's not a PSU problem...anyone shed any light on this before I rip myselff off and pay to have it repaired? cheers

November 25, 200916 yr Author Yeah. After some logical thinking, it could only be the PSU - my computer was shutting down after being turned on, so it wasn't a faulty power switch. Wouldn't be overheating either as it was literally just unresponsive.Anyway, just bought and fitted a new PSU and it's all systems go. Another problem though - I can't screw it in because of my case. Holes for the screws are in the complete wrong place...is there another way to keep the whole thing in place or should I start poking through for new screw holes? :D

November 25, 200916 yr Author Holes in the wrong place?... PSUs usually have pretty standard screw holes. lol I thought that too but low and behold, none fit. hahah.by the way - message me your msn. we havn't spoke in ages!
November 26, 200916 yr I had the same issue with my PSU and case on my custom build. Just mark the PSU holes on the case and drill them carefully. [software Engineer] - [Ability Bar Suggestion] - [Gaming Enthusiast]
November 27, 200916 yr Author Hmm, might give it a go. Got the stuff to do it, can I not use something double sided to just jam it in there though? or a bracket or something like that?
