November 26, 200916 yr I'm have been an f2p player ever since rs opened and have been playing on and off.I am currently almost lv 99 smithing and it would be great to get a skill cape.however I have no intention of joining p2p because of the disrespectful attitudes some p2p playersand the addictive nature of rs. however if given the opportunity to purchase the ability to wear a skills cape on f2p i'd be more thanhappy to do so. and to coincide with this feature, p2p members who gone back to f2p should automatically be able to wear their skill capes as they please without having to pay for this feature. lastly skill capes are about accomplishments and not about who's p2p or f2p.
November 26, 200916 yr It's just a cape. I see no reason in purchasing a cape, yet not wanting to purchase and take in the benefits of being a member.
November 26, 200916 yr In my personal opinion, I have found members servers to contain, on the whole, a friendly atmosphere. Just one example...a members server was the first place I was congratulated for leveling a skill (by individuals who didn't even know me).I can understand you avoiding p2p due to the game's addictive nature, but the people are quite friendly in my personal opinion. But good suggestion, I've seen it mentioned a lot. - Speedyshel Website Updates and Corrections *..It is better to be hated for who you are than loved for who you're not..*
November 26, 200916 yr I honestly do not think P2Pers are that mean... (though, they're the ones that go mindlessly flaming F2P because of updates and such... high level F2P forums anyone?) And, in my personal opinion, F2P should not get skill capes. F2P already has quick chat, and besides, I really don't think it's that important to be able to show off your skills. Though, I don't care if F2P does get it or not. December 14, 200916 yr Sorry, no support. For one, idea isn't properly written. Secondly, skillcapes are just capes. They are nothing more. If you really want to show off your level just use quickchat. I agree that if you have a skillcape it should be wearable in F2P however, if you do wish to make the choice and buy a skillcape for $10 :?. Thirdly, P2P players aren't that bad, except the ones with a grudge against F2P. Those players can go die for all I care. Thanks for your time... :P.
December 15, 200916 yr lastly skill capes are about accomplishments and not about who's p2p or f2p. They are? I'm pretty sure Jagex has said that they're an extra perk for being members, you know when they canned the short-lived idea of making the capes f2p.

That is the main purpose of skill capes - to show off your 99 stats. Though, I personally don't care about it.
