On the quest guide it says:

"Put the proper number of crystalline disks into Yewnock's machine to activate it. On the top, one crystalline disc must have the same value as the sum of the two shown, while on the bottom, the sum of two crystalline discs must be equal to the value of the one shown. If you cannot get the right numbers, use Yewnock's Exchanger, which is the northern part of the machine."

I did that, and both in top and bottom have the number 38 if you do the count...why its not working?

Have you go a pic of the default layout, ie without any of the crystals you've added?

Yep, now i got something...i added a green pentangon on the top and says its right...now what for the 2 spaces at bottom?

38 is not divisable by 3 so the orange triangle must be a different number, *checks the guide*, the orange triangle is valued at 6, so the ONLY way to get that is to put in two red triangles.

The bottom 2-slots are going to have to be filled with 2 pieces both totalling 6, as the Orange-Triangle represents 6.

 

Seems your possibles are:

 

• Yellow Circle, Red Triangle
  
• Yellow Circle, Yellow Circle
  
• Red Triangle, Red Triangle
  
• Green Circle, Orange Circle
  
• Orange Circle, Red Square
  

 

Think that's right...

 

Either way - seems like you've got to do some exchanging. ;)

I'm really confused where u got the 38s from to begin with.

 

red pentagon = 5

yellow pentagon = 15

 

So top = 20

 

Then as stated above orange triangle = 6
