Creatures Of Habit

Featured Replies

So, now that we are 25% of the way through who is still in the running for getting Dungeon Assult's Creature of Habit Achievement by September Next Year?

(This idea sounded much larger in my head)

Also, I suppose, discuss any tips, stories or progress that you would like to share.

I DO have a life.

I'm sorry, but i've never been able to understand the mentallity behind this statement.

People are perfectly able to mindlessly watch a television program, or troll MySpace/Facebook/Forums, but it is so very hard and life consuming to spend 6 minutes to log onto a game and complete one single raid (as i'm typing this i've just timed myself for a raid, from opening the browser window, logging on, raiding and then closing the game - Total Time 1:22.2). This is less then HALF the time for a SINGLE television ad-break.

Secondly it's not even that often, you only have to do it twice per calander week, personally I raid once Wednesday afternoon and once on Sunday Night. You don't even have to do that even, once every Six days is adequate if you're able to remember to log on and not lose your streak.

Also, you don't even have to win the raid. You can just scroll to a random person, choose your raiders, click on one of the entrances and then exit. This would drastically reduce the above time which doesn't use this method. Although if you are actually going to use this method then make sure that it counted by checking the achievement in the achievements page.

All in all, what i'm trying to say is there there is A LOT of other things that is much more of a 'waste' of time on the internet.

You've got a good computer then.

5 minutes to load up Windows, 5 minutes for Internet to start working, 5 minutes for the browser to open, then I have to tweak around with java until Funorb finally starts.

That looks like 1:22 to you?

And I'm not even exaggerating by that much.

Besides, what I meant by life is that I DO go on vacations away from the computer during, say, the summer.

^If your computer behyaves like that, you should get a better internet, not complain about achievements.

I mean, not everyone has acces to the internet. But does that mean that all achievements that require an internet connection should be removed?

A normal player won't have to spend much time on it.

(Really, 10 minutes to get into a game is way to much, you should upgrade.)

The only difference between Hitler and the man next door who comes home and beats his kids every day is circumstance. The intent is the same-- to harm others.

[hide=Tifers say the darndest things]

I told her there was a secret method to doing it - and there is - but my once nimble and agile fingers were unable to perform because I was under the influence.

I would laugh, not hate. I'm a male. :(

Since when was Ireland an island...? :wall:

I actually have a hobby of licking public toilet seats.

I live in freakin' middle of nowhere, with only one ISP available.

And no, I am not asking for all those achievements to be removed, I was just saying that as much as I'd like to, I wouldn't get the achievement.

And if you can't get it I could care less. What piqued me was that you implied anyone who attempted to get it had no life.

Looks like you don't actually have to pass the year mark so I was very surprised to see this when I raided this afternoon.
