DialgaPoke
Haider. I am currently level 75 (Few xp till 76) Farming, and would like to know what my best option would be to achieve 99. I do realize that I am quite far off, but this is a long term goal, after all. :) I've done a bit of homework myself, and from my current xp, it would cost me roughly 120m-ish, by Palm Trees alone. Is this correct? Is doing Palm Trees the fastest way to achieve this? In you opinions, what is the best way to obtain 99 Farming by looking at the xp per gp ratio. If you have anything further questions and suggestions, please post them below! Thanks! -Dialga
D Jay99
Plant maples and palms (both about the same gp/xp), should give you 84k xp/day from trees alone (10 maples 5 palms).Plant herbs too, you really want to get used to that since they're always worth planting, they make like 2m/hour at the moment.Snapdragons alone make you 36k/patch, marigolds make you another 10k/run and cactus spines give you 15k per herb run too. That makes about 200k profit per 4k xp herb run, you should be able to do 4 of those per day.Plant calquat trees too. That makes a total of 112k xp/day, at a total cost 860k for the trees and ~800k profit from the herbs. There, 99 farming nearly for free. (of course you could have done those herb runs anyway so it still costs 860k/day for the trees, but you get the point). :P And please don't be like 'meh I don't like herbs I won't do that', just don't get 99 if you don't like farming :P
DialgaPoke
First of all, thank you for your great post, and your excellent expertise. :) This sounds like a terrific plan to me, and I'll certainly give it a go. I've farmed plenty of herbs in my day, and don't mind doing such things as that. If ones does not enjoy herb runs, then there's really no point in them getting 99, as you have stated. =P The only question I seem to have is, Are planting snapdragons the best money of all herbs, per patch? Thanks again. ;D
JoeDaStudd
For the best profit its avantoe (well using a calc I setup a while back which uses GE prices).Since your after farming exp and the difference between certain herbs is so small profit wise (Avantoe, Snapdragon, Cadantine and Lantadyme are all 28k+ per trip) go with the best ones out of the mentioned you can do. Troacctid
Avantoe is currently the second-best herb to farm. It beats snapdragon only if your 5-patch run gives no more than 31 herbs; however, an average run gives about 32-33 herbs. Of course, snapdragon seeds are less convenient to buy in bulk because of the price tag, which I guess is a turn-off...and the prices will fluctuate from week to week, so there's something to be said for changing things up to maximize profits. Here's the link to my herb farming spreadsheet if you want to use it to track prices. I have it following ranarr, toadflax, avantoe, kwuarm, and snapdragon, although I can add more if another herb sneaks into the top 5.
