Unknown_Warrior
So, I've been wanting to use Mousekeys optimally for quite some time know, it's just.... Mine don't work so well. I've tried adjusting the Pointer speed one notch before maximum (as is said in many of the Mousekey guides), but it doesn't work too well. This is also probably due to translation mistakes on my part (as my PC is entirely in Dutch). Sadly though, it isn't just literal translations of the English term all the time. So could anyone be kind enough to post a guide - with images - in order to enable Mousekeys with a Vista OS. I have, but when it does, it skips like 4 inventory spots. i_r_slayer
You requested a guide on how to enable mouse keys, but you said you already have it enabled and are having problems with particular settings such as the distance your mouse moves. Do you only need a guide to enable it, or do you need a guide on how to adjust the settings? Edit: Here's what I got for you, if something doesn't make sense let me know. [hide=Bunch of Pictures] Click on start->control panal Choose classic view in the upper left corner. Next double click "Ease of Access Center" Scroll down to "make the mouse easier to use," click on that. Check the turn on mousekeys box. Make sure you hit APPLY at the bottom right corner. After that click on setup mousekeys. Make sure the two boxes I have circled in black are checked, hit APPLY after checking them in the bottom right corner. The setting circled in red is what changes how far your mouse jumps every time you press the number on your number pad. The higher your top speed is, the farther your mouse will jump. In order to get your mouse to jump far, you must hold your control key down. You can also use sticky keys by the way to make holding the control key down easier, let me know if you don't know how to use that. Try a few different settings until you get the desired one. You must hit apply or save every time you change the setting. If everything works for you now, great. Save and close out and that's all there is to it. Now if you couldn't get the setting you wanted (Example: One setting makes the mouse jump too far, but when you lower the top speed by one notch it makes the mouse not jump far enough.) then proceed to the next step. To get some different jump distances you need to go into your mouse settings. Go back to your control panal and double click on mouse. Now click on the pointer option tab and notice the pointer speed setting. Adjusting this setting will completely change all of the jump settings on your mousekeys. Increase or decrease the setting by one notch, this will throw off all of the previous setting you were trying out earlier. Once you have done that click apply and go back into your mousekey settings. Try a few different mousekey settings and see if you can get the exact jump distance you were trying to get. If not repeat this step and choose another different pointer speed setting until you get it right. Just incase I lost you here: After changing your pointer speed setting, you need to go back to this picture and change the top speed setting a couple times until you get it right. Everytime you change your point speed setting, all of the top speed settings will change slightly.[/hide]
