Well this is what it says on newegg for the graphics:450 Watt or greater power supply with one 75W 6-pin PCI Express power connectors recommended (600 Watt and two 6-pin connectors for ATI CrossFireX technology in dual mode)Which one of those (450W, 75W, 600W, 2x 75W) is the actual drain on the power supply? And is my PSU good enough? Side note: what is crossfire? [hide=Stats][/hide]"One death is a tragedy. OldJoe
Ah, my recommendation. Yes. The Corsair VX550 is easily enough for that, you could use an i9+GTX260 without fuss with that psu.The graphics card does not suck up 450w. AMD states 450w for graphics card+whole build so it works with crap psu's aswell. Crossfire (SLI - Nvidia) is when you use dual gpu's. Will H
Crossfire (SLI - Nvidia) is when you use dual gpu's. Not quite, you can use two graphics cards at the same time and still not use Crossfire or SLI, I do this so I can support three monitors. Crossfire or SLI combine the processing power of multiple graphics cards, using only the ports of only one of the cards. This means you can have two cards processing the images on one monitor, with nearly twice the processing speed. ~ W ~

And twice the speed, not really for the majority of the games. Even tho it's soon 2010, dual gpu's are still badly optimized in games. Some games you can almost get x2 the power, but on most, no (modern games).
