December 31, 200916 yr Enough difference to make it not worth it to train with full guthans. For waterfiends: ZS=SS > GS > Obby neck/mace > Ancient Staff/defender > D mace/defender = Verac flail > Other barrows weps. Don't use guthan's spear there.

I have tested all of the mentioned weapons and ancient staff is simply the best welfare weapon of the bunch. In fact it not only beat the verac flail, but beat it with full verac's equipped. Simply another case of speed > strength, ancient staff also gives +15 mage defence which is very helpful to lower levels.
