Ezkaton
As you all know I got my defence cape not long ago; however but I'm already beginning to look to trim it. My favourite skills and capes for ages have been Smithing, Slayer, Prayer, HP and Defence. So therefore my conclusions came thus -1. Prayer would cost me 200M that I don't have to get me from 70 to 99, and I mean..... C'mon, it'll take me about 2m worth of bones to get to 72. So that's a probable no until I sell everything in members if I choose to quit. 2. Defence. I already have now, so it's just a case of raising combat stats.3. Slayer. Would max my melees which is a long term goal that I'd be willing to try and attempt sometime.4. HP. Already 90 through sheer bulk of exp from defence, also slayer maxing me out would get this fairly easy; however time at uni is the problem.5. Smithing - my favourite cape in the entire game, even more so than Prayer. I've been getting the odd levels by cannonballing which is the best for me being in uni as I can easily afk an essay, msn, girlfriend on webcam, tv and an invo of cballs; thus making me quick money on RS and not being boring. So now you understand my thought process for getting 99 smithing can you help me figure out what to do to get the 99, and how much it might cost? I don't really care about cannonballing levels until about 70 really because then it isn't too absurd, and I make a nice little bit of money to add to my cash pile for it. However is there any way that I can quicken the process? And what would be the best thing to make at the moment (without taking cannonballing or time into consideration); also know that I have an 18m cash pile that is growing quite nicely atm, and a DFS that I'd be willing to sell for this cape. Thanks for any advice, hints, tips, anything about this, it really is much appreciated. 010jonathan
Just a bump...... Does no one have any ideas?Make cannonballs with profit until you have enough money to buy the skill to 99. So you'll have a break even (moneywise) and a lvl 99 smithing.
Bladewing
Instead of cannonballing, smelt gold with gauntlets when you want AFK xp. When/if you want to do "real" training of the skill, do the best platebody you can with SC hammers. Sy_Accursed
One of the best* ways to train smithing in my opinion is mithril plates at the blast furnace.Self contained, less mind numbingly repetitive than other methods. Half coal lowers costs (or collection times)Sc hammers (with either running to bank or carting to ge to collect ones in bank) are usable hereAnd if you have some patience, or want to minimise loses getting coal via MTK can be free - small lose (10 raw fish + 5 coal = couple of hundred k profit a week (with writing the coal off as 0gp as ur gonna use em)) [10 coal + 5 raw fish - makes a small lose] {10 coal + 5 herb - bit variable but does usually atleast break even (aka make 525k a week)}If you do get the "free" coal from mtk you make a tidy profit per plate with alching them; its not a huge profit; but it adds up doing 86 - 88 I had about 2 - 2.5m in profit this way. *Read best to mean a good compromise of speed vs cost vs profit Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
