I would agree that Wubi is probably the best for you right now. Since you already have the CD, just pop it in when you're already in Windows. The installer should pop up

An install with Wubi is good 'cause it's almost impossible to screw up your system and it's easy to get rid of if you don't want it anymore. you just uninstall it from within windows.
