I havebt sorted my bank out since ive become a member and i think its due a big sort out to be more effective.

ATM its split up as

1. Gp and items im currently using while playing that day (ie food or loot or quest items).

2. Armour

3. Magic eqquipment and runes

4. Range gear

5.herblaw stuff

6.Farming equipment and seeds

7. summoning stuff

8. hunter equipment

9. General stuff ie usuful items, quest items, cloths etc... (generally junk as well that can also be useful on that rare occasion).

Can anyone suggest a better arrangement? As well what items should i keep in a bank that are really handy.

thanks

Really it's trial and error, find what works for you and go with it. The less you change, the better it is.

atticusako, you can go to Draynor Village and ask "the old man" as to what he thinks about the items in your bank, some of which you may not need to keep at all.

As for how to organize your bank, it is best to think of what you use most and go from there. It is easy to change up the categorires if what you decide on does not turn out to be as convenient as you want.

I can tell you what has worked well for me and that might give you an idea as to how some ppl think when using those bank tabs.

My basic rule is: Place in POH what will go. "Destroy" items I do not often use, making sure to leave a "note" for myself as to how to get that item back should I ever need it.

Tab 1:

Money (all the different types of monies)

Food (all types useful for me)

ore and gems and woods, etc. that are useful in leveling skills other than combat, herblore or summoning (These latter 3 have their own individual tabs.)

Tools useful in gathering items needed for skilling (picks, axes, fishing pols & baits, etc.) Here I also place my Varrock Armour & quest bag

Tab 2:

Everything associated with leveling herblore

Tab 3:

Everything associated with Summoning

Tab 4:

Everything I enjoy "playing" with .. all my clothes and toys that won't go in my POH

Tab 5:

Everything associated with leveling Rune Crafting, including all 4 pouches. I also include all staffs here and a few other items that teleport me places, i.e. Ardougne cape, Shilo gloves, broomstick, Pharoah's scepter, the different teleport tabs etc.

Tab 6:

Every type of weapon

Tab 8:

Everything I might need for treasure trails, including some jewlry to aid me during wildy excursions & the spottier cape with boots of lightfootedness. (I also place anything that might be useful for me should I ever play around in f2p worlds, including the foods, weapons, armour I could use there.)

Tab 9:

Every type of armour that will not go in POH. Those that can be "boxed" at GE are indeed boxed.

Tab 10:

All my jewlry (yes even if they have teleportation spells)

Seems like I'm forgetting a tab; but maybe not.

Hope this helps.

I am what I am! Acknowledging this is the beginning and my growth is yet to end!!

He only tells you about F2P items, the rest he just kind of ignores.

My best advice is to group skills that are similar to each other and use some of the same items- like herblore & farming & cooking, woodcutting & fletching & firemaking, etc.

Also, try to balance your tabs out. It's kind of useless to have a few tabs with only 5 or 10 items in them, and then one huge tab with everything else.

Specifically, only f2p quest items. They offers to buy them, but for extremely low amounts (I think he wanted to buy the Blurite Sword for 7gp...).
