This experience during the first ten hours of login is certainly welcomed by me. I am spending time prior to that collecting all items needed for the skills I will be working. Many players already have a good plan for using this time wisely. Congratulations to you all for planning ahead. I have chosen to work the skills I consider the most expensive, which are construction, summoning and herblore. Those skills I can work without competing with others. Thus, I have banked quite a few Mahogany, Teak & oak planks .. even a few steel bars. I have also collected enough secondary items to work up all my many charms. As for herblore, I have turned all my herbs into "unfinished" just to save time and have the rest organized for "extremes". (Miscellania helps a great deal in this regard.) I plan on using cw rings & spirit kyatts; so I have stored enough of those as well. If by chance I use up all my con and sum and herblore items, I will work other skills (once that are "not" influenced by the Master Horn). I suspect a few levels will be gained this way.

Apparently so as I changed nothing; yet can now login RuneScape just fine.

I have been playing RuneScape just fine until this latest (today) update. Now RS will not complete loading process. I get message giving me three resolutions for this problem: 1. Create new directory called C:/rscache. If possible, set this directory to have full read and write permissions so all users can write to it. RuneScape should then be able to detect that directory and use it. I already had this directory set up and, as stated above, all had been working fine. I placed the directory I had in my "recycle bin" (holding it there to restore if need be) and created another directory per instructions. (I do not know how to "set this directory to have full read & write permissions"; so I would appreciate someone in here giving me step-by-step instructions as to how to do this.) At any rate, I tried loading RuneScape again and got the same message. 2. Login to your computer as an "administrator" user and then try loading RuneScape again. This should give RS sufficient access to update itself. I own this computer and only my son and I use it. I have no idea which one of us this computer identifies as "administrator" and have no idea how to login as such. Can anyone in here give me step-by-step instructions as to how to do this? 3. Upgrade to newer version of Java. I did go over to Java and discovered I already have the latest version installed (Java 6 update 18) and it is working. Can anyone in here help me with the above instructions I have requested?

When you say your tombstone "... appears outside the cavern ..." , do you mean outside Kuradel's cavern next to Kuradel or do you mean outside the ancient cavern next to the waterfall?

You asked for an idea of what one "experiences" making up so much serum 207: I make it all the time from all the Tarromin I get from Miscellania. I "never" keep any of it in my bank as it will not "note" and is a pain to dump after you've permitted it to stack up. I of course collect as many ashes as I have Tarromins, banking it all. Then I take 14 vials of water and 14 Tarromins, mix it; then add 14 ashes. Then I "empty" each of the 14 vials and bank the empty vials. After all the Serum 207 vials are emptied, I sell all empty vials on GE for a nice little profit. Thus, I wind up with a "tiny" bit of frustration for very short periods of time, some herblore experience and then a little profit.

If I were you, I would "test" SirIzenhime's suggestion as he/she heard you're not wanting to increase certain stats. Simply don't start your 40-minute timer until you try this on and see what it does for you. (Don't forget to carry an antifire shield with you unless you can use those fairy rings.)

For those who do not already know this: You will need to speak with Pikkenmix twice for this mini. The first time is to get into the spirit realm to get your shards; and the second can be done at anytime during the week (providing you can find him when you are in game) to "start" the time you have to gather triple charms. Seems maybe a few chat channels might be good for this; or a tipit thread where people can post when they find an abyss open. This might save much time we might otherwise be waiting for pikkenmix to "rest". (I would try this myself except my time in RuneScape is too sporadic at this time of year to be dependable.)

I have not started this D&D yet as I am researching it first. I discovered a Jmod stated we could use the "40 minutes" anytime we want; however, this is not that clear to me as I do not know "when" the 40 minutes would actually start. Also, does this 40 minutes apply to "skilling" too and not just combat? (I ask the latter question because, if I am the one who activates the 40 minutes, I would like to do so on a task that has the potential of gaining the most charms for myself.)

This is a helpful guide and great credit given to different parties. I don't recall seeing any mention of the Lleyta fruit tree. It is an easy tele if you have the "tiny crystal". Also, gathering one load of those white berries in that area does not take much time and sell real well. (Just take sip of anti-poison & make sure inventory is empty for this & that you're wearing a tele ammy or ring.)

It is obviously "not" the diverse pmod populace this thread pertains to; but the "concept" of in-game moderators in general. All we can do is "guess" as to whether the "...whole concept of pmods and those seeking the little silver crown is about status or purpose..." Only the Jagex originator(s) of the crown truly know; and as stated in other posts, it seems to me to be about both status and purpose. To divide the intent serves what purpose? A better question might be: What would be different "in game" without the player moderators (a "concept" you so vehemently disagree with)?

My mind set is: Responsibility begins at home. With that being said, situations similar to the one being presented here are definately something I would do something about. If, after quickly analysing the interaction, I thought the party being injured would benefit from my physical involvement, I would step in. If I thought I, too, would be overwhelmed with no hope of actually being successful in helping the party, I would call the Police. It is one thing to take responsibility for keeping your community safe. It is just as important to consider your family during your decision-making process. The latter is a must! (If I had no one else depending on me for their survival, I would definately step in personally wherever and whenever I saw a need.) No "diffusion" here; just priorities considered.

All in all this was an interesting read. I especially appreciate the information many of you gave about the historical aspects of your different cultures. Thank you so much for sharing. I am responding to some comments that hit me rather hard. I am still not sure how to use these posting tools; so I do hope you all understand what I am attempting to say. The American forefathers were very clear when they set up governing rules for the American nation, i.e. there was to be freedom to worship as one chooses. This of course meant "all" types of religious beliefs. This, also, meant those beliefs would innately be involved in all governing rules simply because such rules were set up by human beings who held beliefs. Yes, America is suppose to keep government and religion separate "legally"; however, it is obvious spiritual beliefs filter into the governing processes. (History has proven this has occurred throughout the ages; and I have little doubt this will show up even more in America before too long, though it will be quite subtle and go unnoticed by most. Magekillr, I appreciate your posting what your friend found; however, you just might want to suggest to your friend to watch for the American "Blue Laws". They are already on the books; just have not as "yet" been inforced.) As for the gay aspect of this thread: Has anyone ever noticed how laws change to serve the most outspoken of the majority? Even laws that maintain personal respect, liberty and the pursuit of happiness get redefined throughout the ages. {Look how America treated the blacks not that long ago. As long as the message you received asking you if you were willing to be a player moderator came through the Jagex msg center, it is safe. Jagex is simply being responsible in the modding process: making sure you are who you say you are and being able to hold you accountable should you not be.

The very same thing happened to me. I planted my willow and, when I went back to gather the branches, I continually received the message to wait for them to grow. (I had actually forgotten to "check the health" of that tree and that is what was negating my attempts to cut branches with my magic secateurs. After I figured this out, I checked the health, then had to wait a short time. Now I can collect branches every hour if I want.

Welcome back ... You're getting some good advice here for combat. I might add "infinity boots" are great when needing extra mage defense and the "fury amulet" and "onyx(e)" ring cannot be beat for overall fighting.
