New way for casting magic spells & Magic classes

Featured Replies

I think that when you cast a fire spell that you should have fire coming out of your hands, earth you should lift rocks and throw them, water ice or water comes out of your hands, air you hit them with a blast of air. With that you should choose if you want to follow fire, earth, water, or air. For which one you pick you could only do that type of spell. All 4 types would be equal and there would be 3 spells for f2p and 2 more for p2p each spell would do more damge than the other and maybe the highest spell would have a bonus that ever now and then would happen. The bonus would be something like fire: opponets str drop 50% for 5 sec, earth: opponets defence falls 50% for 5 sec, Water/ice: opponets is frozen and can not attack or run for 5 sec, air: opponets attack drops 50% for 5 sec

The fire coming out of the hands idea is cool, I don't like the Strenght -50% thing though.

How about... fire is lowers attack/strength/ranged/mage a little... (50% is way to high, even for 5 seconds, because you keep hitting the enemy)

And earth is a [bleep]e coming out of the ground and stays for a few seconds as an obstacle...

Water/Ice is freeze, as you said; but we already have an ice spell... so maybe water should be "splash"... does a bit of area damage.

Wind will be knock-back... there is a chance that the enemy will go back a few steps in the opposite direction the blast hit him/her/it...

But these are my ideas.

You might even get new elements, like lightning... perhaps it could slow (paralyse) the enemy down?

I like where you are going with this but one thing is that when you knock them back with the wind when the can get back to fighting you they have to cause otherwise they will just have an advantage from running away from you in the wildy.

Yeah... I suppose knock-back will make wind more of a defensive attack than anything else... =/

I like the idea of being a specialist mage which has improved magic stats but weaker melee and range stats. I think specialist classes would help break up the monotony of the game a bit, because most people these days level melee, magic and range, effectively make most high levels the same statwise.

by giving spells a secondary effect mage will become overpowering. blowing them back? that makes you nearly invensible to all melee attackers. the spec effects is a good idea (ground [bleep]es, fire ect..) but that's only a graphic adjustment. prob a good idea for future games (rs3 if ever  ) but adjusting the gfx takes lots of coding and more hassel then it's worth. good idea though :D

Why does this strangely remind me of Avatar: The Last Airbender?
