February 13, 201016 yr By now it seems to have become common practice for mages to employ claws of guthix as their spell of choice due to its defense draining efect...but shouldn't flames of zamorak be better? if I remember correctly, your defense against magic is mainly dependent on your magic level and flames drains magic...this is true, but you can't use a +10% magic damage void mace with flames of zamorak, you need to use a zamorak staff
February 13, 201016 yr Additionally, most npc you use God spell against will have no natural magic level for you to drain in the first place, hence it makes more sense to drain their defense levels. All I learned in life, I learned on Tip.it
February 13, 201016 yr mage defence is 80% mage lvl and 20% def lvl (i think) so it would seem flames would be better but im guessing most people use claws as it hits higher with the void mace
