Waterfiends

I've heard that waterfiends are a good way to get charms and i would like to start getting charms for 70 summoning, but i was wondering how viable they would be with my stats?

70 attack

70 strength

75 def

76 hp

52 pray

Edit: Im pretty sure mage level can effect mage defence, so 71 mage aswell.

 

Also: I dont particurly want to spend money on a zammy spear + karils, but would i be effective at killing them with d hide + vflail/thammers?

In a word no don't bother really. Unless you wanna spend a bomb.

 

Even at my stats in Karils with ZS on slayer task (with helm) they take forever and burn through many prayer pots.

Frankly, no, not with your stats.

 

And no, not with a flail or hammers.

 

Try 80 in melee stats, and at least a Zamorakian spear.

You're stats are pretty low to be attempting this, especially considering you don't have bunyips, and your prayer lvl is low enough that you won't be getting many ppoints per prayer potion

i recommend zammy spear highly, karils isnt too important but every bit helps considering you're at the lower end of the combat scale here

 

are you just going to use up these crimson charms to train summoning to 70? If so i recommend you don't hunt waterfiends yet

I also recommend you don't use any charms to train summoning yet

 

play the penguin hide and seek minigame to lvl up summoning, and save your charms for later
