February 18, 201016 yr Hey, My mage level is 65, and I still use the crappy old wizard robes (never updated since f2p). I would just like to know, what are the best robes for someone my level that cost less than, oh say, 200-300k? Because I really don't need great robes, since i won't be training it much more until later, and I rarely use mage in combat anyway. February 18, 201016 yr Since you have 51 runecrafting, you can grab yourself a set of runecrafter robes for f2p maging as well. Examine ChenGMT (level: 138)
February 18, 201016 yr Battlerobes are also a good bet. They almost rival Ahrim's for magic bonuses, can save you a few runes, and are under 300k. The only crux is that they need to be charged by playing Fist of Guthix to get the full potential, but that's about it. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement.Also check out my blug
