Solo Maging Rex

Well it's been well over a year since I've solo maged at the dagannoth kings, I was wondering whats the best safespot now, And does prime get on you easily? I was also wondering on the best gear now (I have about 100M spare cash), I would be using titans. Thanks!

tbh i think the safe spots are the same but i dont know i never soloing mages just rex...

and i would think armadyl would be good but that armour you lose it first then anything else so i would else like d hide or karils top with veracs skirt and like helm of neitz or veracs helm really cuz good preyer armour and your top would be your range armour that is the best to go for unless you do old style with guthans but the titans take care of that

but i know if you stay on the safespot prime should not be able to get on you

If solo maging rex you don't need any range gear as you're just maging. Tip.it's guide to hunting the Dag kings is the one i used when i went. I used the no familiar one though as i was using a Yak to bank bones and hides.

 

100m seems like plenty of gp to get some decent gear for rex.

Solo as in only you in the room or solo as in just you maging?

Solo maging with hybrids you can pretty much stand anywhere, however solo completely solo its a whole different ball game. Personally I find completely solo'ing far to risky as they keep enhancing the range of prime and supreme without notice. In the last month or so they enhanced supremes range to counter the latest best location which really limits where you can stand and how you can lure.

I would use the guthans method as titan alone won't keep up.

Up to 88 summon: Guthans

Up to 96 summon: Veracs

96 or higher: Guthans because you can use a pack yak to bank the bones and hides which earns you 30k per kill

 

The best safespot is the seaweed spot but you need to lure him in a different fashion now. When you attack rex you need to run about 3/4th of the way to the spot where prime is usually killed by hybrids and when he is almost on you you run back to the seaweed spot.

You can just use the 2 seaweed spots to the south near the skeleton. Stand on the one closest to the skeleton while your waiting for him to spawn. Then lure just East of the other seaweed, depending on where he gets stuck you can be on the 2nd seaweed, east of the second seaweed or on the section which is basically the rim at the south east side.
