Whats the best way to level hunter for my level? And when should i change methods to something else? I was catching salamanders but it took me a little over an hour just for 40k exp, and there has to be a better way for exp.

Red Salamanders or Penguins if you done the Hunt for Redraktuber.

 

If you don't pay full attention 40k exp/hr sounds close to what you could get.

If you pay decent attention, red sallies should be getting you over 60k an hour, even over 70k an hour with Arctic Bear.

I thought the generally accepted number was 80, at which you can use 5 traps.

from most of the 99 hunters i've heard from say 83 is best to start using red chins because it makes them fairly fast and for some reason catches them around 80% of the time.
