Serpent Eye Posted February 25, 2010 Share Posted February 25, 2010 Issue Resolved - LOCKNBAN [hide=Original Post]Halp! :cry: So, last night a friend and I were doing an Evil tree on World 99. The tree had finished a while ago, and I was in the process of using up my log-banking magic in Seer's. When the magic effect wore off, I ran to the bank to get telerunes so as to start hunting for a second evil tree. Upon entering the last digit of my bank pin, the game lagged out, and I got the typical, small "Loading..." message in the upper-left corner of the screen. Well, several seconds passed, and nothing happened. At this point I was a bit frustrated, as my friend had already left to begin hunting a new tree, and I was eager to join her. In my eagerness, I backed out of the page while the game was still stuck, and reloaded the page. However, much to my dismay, upon reloading the page, I found I was unable to log back into World 99. I kept receiving the error "Connection timed out. Please use a different world." I continued attempting to log back into the game for several minutes, without being able to. I attempted to log onto several other worlds, with the same result. FINALLY I found a world that let me into the game. Upon arrival, I got bombarded in clan chat with things like, "You done logging yet, Serp?" and "If you log in/out one more time, I'll..." etc. Turns out, I appeared to have been logging in and out of the game, without the game actually loading up. I tried for around TWO hours on-and-off to get this issue resolved. I restarted my browser; I restarted my computer; I deleted all of my history and cookies; I reinstalled Java. Well, it is now six+ hours later, and I am STILL timing out when attempting to log into World 99 -- a few other worlds are causing this issue as well. Also, I appear to be unable to load the main site, and my bookmark for the Grand Exchange page will not load as well. My questions are, HOW ON EARTH DID I BREAK IT THIS MUCH? Well, is this something on MY end? If so, does anyone know of what I should look into to getting it resolved? I'm really bothered that a few odd worlds (currently logged into World 09) will load, but several others will not. It also bothers me that the actual login screen will load, but the main runescape.com page will not. deletemeplease Posted February 25, 2010 Share Posted February 25, 2010 I know that my RS will freeze on the loading screen sometimes if I'm in HD, or my screen will just go white and crash.Try playing in Safe mode to see if that resolves it. :) If you're already playing in safe mode, then I've got no idea. Call how ISP if no other websites are working or try a different browse like chrome, firefox, or opera Well, every other website is working just fine -- it's strictly stuff related to Runescape.com I know that my RS will freeze on the loading screen sometimes if I'm in HD, or my screen will just go white and crash.Try playing in Safe mode to see if that resolves it. :) If you're already playing in safe mode, then I've got no idea. For example, w143 doesn't work (connection times out) while w99 works for me. ~It's Super Effective!
