February 26, 201016 yr I'm going to be training slayer while I try to get 95 defence. I have about 40m to spend on gear and I have a full slayer helm. I was just wondering what the best set up would be in your opinion. 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. Jagex'd out of my untrimmed hp cape on 6/14/2011.

February 27, 201016 yr Depends on if you want to power slay out the exp, or just get it in a relaxed manner. In the relaxed manner get either Torags/Dharoks platebody and legs or verac's brassard and skirt if you want to use prayer on some tasks, which isn't such a bad idea. [spoiler=Prayer Tasks]depending on the task i switch out the Rune Defender for the Falador Shield 3, if a Mage task i wear the Zamorak Robes (the one from clues) [spoiler=Mage Defense Tasks]I wear for tasks that i need the mage def on, you can wear karils if you have it i don't as i don't have the money for that Aside from the Chestbody, Legs, and shield i don't change any of the other gear if i strictly melee all my tasks. Unless its the Ferocious ring for tasks in Kuradal's dungeon. If you have any of the imbued rings, then it might be better to use those then a regular Beserker ring, but i don't have any of those high ranks in MA. And if you have a Fire Cape use it where you see fit, i don't have one. Edit: Don't forget the ZS/SS for when you need crush/stab on a task. February 27, 201016 yr There's always sets like Torag or Guthans for good def, Guthans can also be used for it's healing You could also wear Verac if you wish to use Piety on tasks, the cost of Prayer pots and repairs does eventually add up, so make sure you're aware of that. Then there's the ever popular Bandos, decent def with a str bonus. Don't have to worry about repairs. It also has a small prayer bonus, but not nearly as high as Verac or Pros. What I do is. Wear Bandos for normal type slayer tasks, Abyssal demons, hell hounds, stuff that doesn't require any effort to killVeracs for tanking tasks, Dark Beats, high level dragons, I use piety on these.Pros for prayer tasks, stuff like Spirit mages. Fisher/Woodcut------Me-----Miner/crafter----Stabber----Leecher ^Golvellius must be so proud^
February 27, 201016 yr Barrows really isn't necessary for most tasks. In fact, I get along just fine with a Torso and V skirt. You could probably make Torso and Bandos Tassets work, so you save money from having to buy the BCP, but only if you got the torso already. Other than the armor already mentioned on this thread, you want: -Zammy Spear, a huge amount of tasks benefit from it's crush/stab typing-Cannon and Cannonballs-If you don't mind losing the Trollheim patch for farming, be on lunars for NPC contact (although there is an alternative back door entrance into Trollheim, but ads 1-2 minutes to your herb runs)-Super Sets-Bunyips, Ele Titans, Ele Titan Scrolls-Enhanced Excalibur-Mind Shield for Wyverns. DFS isn't worth buying since it's really only better there and Miths ~It's Super Effective!
