I don't think i've seen a thread on this board get past 3 pages without degenerating into a slagging match between what seems to be the same group of people in every single thread. More often than not, it seems to be directed at rap as well. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it doesn't mean it's not music, people! This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you. This elitist culture, atleast they think they're elite and know anything, against rap music. It's quite sad. But you know, when you love music you respect it too, thus you respect rap music as well. But here we're full of those people who think they love music thus they exclude rap from being music. It's realy stupid. Maybe i'm just too old for this now, i think i'm pretty much outgrowing the mentality of the typical poster here and getting to the point where arguing just isn't worth the effort anymore. Yes, it's the mentaly of the typical poster here. Surely you can have a debate about rap and rock music here, but it's the way it's handled by 90% of the users. About the age thing, I can also agree on that. I'm only barely 20, but I'm also noticing it. The board is pretty boring. About movie there's hardly anything about it, for interesting topics. If we were just to close this board it would mean off toic would be flooded by them again. So yeah this board isn't going to be closed. What do you suggest we can do then? Modify the rules and start enforcing them more strictly? For that to work though we would need everyone to work together and not sink to the level of the people causing the arguments in the first place. Rizla Posted May 11, 2006 Share Posted May 11, 2006 I'm not saying ban anyone who disagrees with someone else (after all, mild intelligent flaming is allowed), it just gets boring to see people constantly telling others that "your favourite band sucks", or coming into a topic for the sole reason of saying it sucks. The worst part of it is in the emo topics you always get some idiot who tells people to go cut themselves etc etc. At least people like Bubsa (for example) can take someone down a peg with a bit of tact and humour - sifting through pages of the same old stereotyped insults gets boring fast.
