P2P Obby Mauler Guide :)

Dont hurt me, for this is my first guide and I no whats needed to make a good obby mauler!

Ok so follow the steps, then there will be a huge chunk of writing which will tell you tips on Money Making for pures/Training for pures.

 

Names!

 

Its wonderfull bringing in a new obby mauler into the world. And you want this obby mauler to have a good name. theres a few options that you could pick for names .. ;

 

• A Leet Speech name.
  
• A Random name.
  
• A main accounts name.
  
• A pure accounts name.
  

 

Okay so lets review:

Leet speech names are names such as: 10WN1337. Its a stupid name with not alot of sence into it. id not use this sort of name.

A Random name has basically the same cons as the Leet speech one. Stupid with no sence inside of it.

Okay this type of name is one id use. If your in Bounty Hunter, and people see you name as: Pasta Lol, they might not think your a pure, then be surprised that you are one and make some sort of a mistake.

A Pure accounts name will be somthing like: II Pka Maulz its kind of cool if you ask me, but it sort of ristricts your usage of names if you want an name like this since these are commonly taken.

 

Starting out!

 

Get some money, about 20-30k (Talked about in the Money Making section) and head off to the grand exchange! You will want to buy the following!

 

• Red Topaz Machete
  
• Iron Armour Set
  
• Iron boots
  
• Strength amulet/Power/Accuracy*
  
• Team Cape
  

 

*=(Any of them will do!)

This is a good set up for starting out! The place your training at is Edgevill Men! Men are not very strong, you get low on health after a while so have something for healing (Id recomend leaving food in the bank since theres a bank directly south of the building with men inside). This is not very good for money but money not needed for now.

Train here to 30 strength, trust me it makes it that much easyer to kill the next monsters for training. Pick up high priced herbs, and it really helps butpick up bones and banked because theres a bank literally next to the place!

Stats of Men:

70 Life Points.

Max Hit is like 10 Life Points.

Drops clues.

Drops Bones (100%)

Drops High-Lved Herbs.

 

Well by the time you have reached 30 strength with these, if saved all the bones and herbs untill you reached lv 30 strength, then you might have enough for Obsiden Cape, Combat braclet, amulet of glory and Rings of wealth.

 

Not we got somthing that you probobly expected..

 

ROCK CRABS!

 

Would have never guessed, am I right?

 

Pretty easy to kill, gives a whooping 200 exp from 1 kill! Not very good drops keep loop/tooth of keys and ranarrs. there around rellekka areas, east outside of rellekka near the shore, and the most northan part of relleka. They hide inside there shell and wait for somone to come close, then pop out there shell and attack. You can stay here till 99 strength if you really want.

 

Stats of Rock Crabs:

 

 

Has 500 Life Points.

I looked around and it said its max is 150 Life Points..

Drops Half Keys.

Drops Gems.

Drops curtain edible food.

Drops Few High leveled herbs.

Drops Ranarr Seed.

 

Id stay here till 60 or 65 strength to be honist. you wont have made much/any money here.

 

Now, that money making/tips.

 

First the $$$ Makers!

 

1. Barberian fishing tuna/swordfish/sharks. This makes money, strength, agility and fishing exp. fishing is a good way to go, but you need alot of time to make it happen.

2. Theres skilling which is an obvise way to make money. Fletching, hunter, woodcutting, mining, smithing, crafting and one which I cant teach you can you should pretty much ignore *sigh*.. Merchenting...

3. Now for some good stuff. Zamorak wine tele grabing! last time i checked, 1.9k for a wine, i can easly get 100 wines in 45 minutes and as 100 of them is 190k+ this is very very easy with little competion as a member. this is very good and got my pure most of my epuipment.

4. killing chaos druids. best started at 45+ strength to get effective money making. pick up the high leveled herbs which sell for alot of money. these are found under-neath the edgevill, past the iron gates near vanakka.

 

And now the small tips.

 

1. Try to get 55 slayer and 50 (I think) magic to use a slayer staff. use it for melee training as its as fast as a whip but only need 1 attack to wield! very very usfull but some-what large requirments for a pure.

2. Get 40 magic and try out in the Stealing Creation minigame! when you have 22/24/20 (I forgot which) points, buy the sacred clay weapon and change it to a magic staff. this has high crush/strength bonus. this is some what as good as the slayer staff, since this is much much easyer to get as well as it having only slightly less crush/strength bonuses.

 

Well, Thats that for now, this is in the start of this guide and will soon be much much larger!

Different kinds of obby maulers.

If your not to bright, what is so great about obby maulers? why are they called obby maulers?

Good start for a first guide. I'd just like to point out you have LOTS of typos, and that seagulls are better training than men when first starting. A few more pictures would be good. :thumbup:
