D. V. Devnull
I just looked at them... If your fingers are thin/limber, then the G500 is fine. If you've got really large fingers, get the G5 mouse. :) Of note, I suggest reading the user reviews and looking at the large-size photos. In particular, there appears to be more physical buttons on the G500 mouse... Unluckily, there is one thing stopping me from liking either one. No PS/2 Support... but, that's merely a matter of my personal preferences. BTW... how do they get away with saying it has so many buttons? Scroll tilts or button swaps? :?: ~D. V. Devnull and normally with a cool mind.(Warning: This user can be VERY confusing to some people... And talks in 3rd person for the timebeing due to how insane they are... Sometimes even to themself.) 3PointMan
No idea. What is the Ps/2 support? http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/tt206/samtheninja/Tags/FEARLESStag.jpg http://i787.photobucket.com/albums/yy156/song4thedeaf/stuff.png what i'm doing now: https://linktr.ee/student1
JoeDaStudd
The G500 is the replacement for the G5.I own the G5 and its a very nice mouse, from what I've heard the G500 is a true successor and worth the money. D. V. Devnull
PS/2 Support = What existed for mice before they could be plugged into USB, and very good to have when you're running something that doesn't see USB mice. ;) ~D. the_korny
The G500 is the replacement for the G5.I own the G5 and its a very nice mouse, from what I've heard the G500 is a true successor and worth the money. This is correct. I have a G5 as well, it is a good mouse indeed, and used a friends G500. It has an additional couple of buttons, and I a better look in my opinion. The scroll wheel is a little thicker, which would make it easier to use as an actual mouse button. The G5's mouse wheel is difficult to use as a button, comparatively. PS/2 is that purple circley thing. You've probably seen the USB -> PS/2 adapter multiple times. If you want to know what it looks like, just find an old public computer at a school or office and unplug it when no ones looking. Remember that PS/2 devices should be plugged in before powering on the computer, whereas USB devices can be plugged in whenever. I've never seen Sixth Sense nor Inception nor many other popular movies and I intend to keep it that way.
