sparky697
for any of you who wanted to know whta was in the briefcase...... it is the black guy's soul. you konw the big black guy in the beginning...? and they show the pic of his neck..with that bandage or whatever....i guess thats where he sold his soul to the devil or whatever. then, since "the soul is the most beautiful thing"....thats why whenever someone opens it, it's a beautiful gold..and, if you pay attention closely, the combination for the black briefcase is "666". hope i helped at least SOMEONE
Mr_Putter
http://snopes.com/movies/films/pulp.htm It's a good and accepted theory but: Tarantino has admitted that there is no official explanation behind the briefcase's contents, and that it was simply written into the screen play as an intriguing McGuffin. Phil
who shot nice guy eddie? had to throw it in there 8) Mr Pink. He was hiding under the ramp, you don't see him shoot Nice Guy, but when he gets out you see him with a gun.
indy500fan
Mr Pink. He was hiding under the ramp, you don't see him shoot Nice Guy, but when he gets out you see him with a gun. "I'll set the record straight", chortles Chris Penn. "Nobody shot nice guy Eddie. It was a mistake. What was supposed to happen - and I don't know if Quentin's gonna like me giving this away, but it's too late now, he never told me not to - was Harvey Keitel was supposed to shoot Lawrence Tierney, then shoot me, then get squibbed. But what happened was the squib (a small explosive charge resembling a bullet hit) on Harvey went right off after he shot Lawrence, so he went down, but my squib went off anyway, so I went down. So, basically nobody shot Nice Guy Eddie. Quentin said 'You know what? It'll be the biggest controversy of the film. We're leaving it.' He was definitely right ..." 8) EDIT: stupid bbcode... So he didn't get shot? :P

Why was Mr Pink hiding under the ramp in the first place? So he didn't get shot? :P yeah, and that would have made sense too. father and son are in a team, orange and white are basically a team, and you see a lot of guns pulled and are the only one by himself? id be hiding under the staircase. then everyone starts shooting, and their is a bag full of diamonds near the door? sounds like a good oportunity to me. it makes sense doesnt it :P . doesnt matter though since he gets shot in the arse by the police after he leaves

1_man_army
The reason eveyone thinks its Marcellus' soul is because of the plaster on the back of his head. Theres some sort of old tale about the devil taking the soul of people through the back of their head which meant people put 2 + 2 together and got 5. Actually the plaster is there to hide the big scar on the back of Ving Rhames head. I didnt read the snopes link so if Ive just went over what it says then pfft :? He who learns must suffer, and, even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God. - Aeschylus (525 BC - 456 BC)

Mr_Putter
I just assumed it was Mr. Pink in RD. I didn't put a deep amount of thought into it, I suppose. As it doesn't make sence that a bullet came from no where. Or does it?
