Nobody seems to understand that your stats and equipment only matter for every wave up UNTIL Jad-- from that point on all that matters if you can prayer-switch or not. If you've mastered prayer-switching then equipment and stats aren't even an issue. Similarly, people make it to Jad every attempt yet still feel the need to raise their stats or change their equipment, rather than learning how to switch prayers.

A person with your stats shouldn't have any issues whatsoever in reaching Jad-- just take the time to master prayer switching before risking 90 minutes of your time to get to him.

Maybe people would rather blame their stats/equipment rather than their lack of personal skill, and that's why people never stop asking the same questions around here. Hmm.

Well thats part of my question =P

But I have been retired for 5 months so I dont know if the equipment has changed/any updates. I dont even know what to use. Broad bolts until jad but idk what at jad...Same for armor/potions.

Well it was easy 5 months ago, now it's only easier... you could probably make it there w/ proselyte and a yew shortbow. Just pick whatever you feel most comfortable with.

In short:

If you have loads of money, go full arma

otherwise something along the lines of:

barrows helm (Verac is nice)/archers/robin

Karil/dhide body

dhide legs (or barrows but I don't think you'll need it with your def)

SS, Obsidian, Granite shield (I used a holy book for the range and pray bonus)

fury

avas

broads for the waves diamond (e) for jad

Archers

Ranger/snakeskin

Barrows gloves/vambs

Whenever I did it, I used this invent: EE, Diamond (e), 3 ranging pots (you can use the high herb equivalent if you have the level), 5 sara brews and rest Sup restores

The curses are VERY useful (I thought anyway) they help alot against the 360's and will help at jad a bit as well.

Best of luck (took me 14 tries but was definately worth it  )

@ Muggi: I agree with you to an extent but you have to bare in mind that having better equipment/stats allows you to relax more. They mean you can complete the waves more easily using less resources so you won't have to worry about running out. They also mean you have to be good at pray switching for x number of attacks rather than x+20. So yes, it's true that if you can't pray switch there's no point even attempting it no matter what the equipment, if you're not pro then better equipment will improve your chances.

PS Massive thanks for your guide, helped me so much in my first real runescape goal :D

give F2P a penny and they want a dime; give P2P a quarter, they want 100,000 dollars, your car, house, boat, social security number, credit card numbers, drivers license, clothes on your back and everything you ever owned or interacted with ever

All though I agree with muggi, I'll still give you my gear suggestion. Veracs helm and skirt plus Arma plate are still the best choice for prayer/armor/attack. Ranger boots, Snakeskin, frog leather, ect. for boots and Barrows gloves for gloves. Fury, Ranging ammy, glory for amulet and Soul Wars or 99 achievement cape.

As for your weapon, I STILL use crystal bow; it's accurate and strong. If you would rather use a Rune C'bow use broad bolts until jad and use diamond or ruby on jad.

The only thing Im not sure about is body/legs and cape. Soul wars or trimmed 99?

Soul Wars Cape

Armadyl top > Karil Top > Black Dhide

Armadyl legs > Karil bottom > Black chaps

(you don't need the defence or pray boost in legs)

and broad or runite bolts... diamond's too expensive and ruby drains your hp

Bring accumulator and a few sharks instead of all those restores, that's just overkill.

Use accumulator

Might want to use a shield + barrow melee bottom
