Summer's End Help

So i've been doing Summer's End and I've made it to the first part where I have to light the pyres. After 4 unsucessful attempts, I finally lit all three, but the third was lit during a cutscene. So the beast owned me somehow, and when i went back, it started to attack hella fast and like six of the little soul thingys came out of the main one. What happened and how many pyres to I still have to light?

 

*Also, what food do you reccommend I use? I've been using brews...

I think you have to do the last pyre again.

I relied on brews for food, but it ttok me A LOT of tries to get that bit done. The beast did a lot of damage FAST.

If you light a pyre during a cutscene then it won't count, and his attack speed increases with each pyre.

 

If you've already lit two of them, then you only need to do one more.

It's already been said that the one you lit during the cutscene doesn't count, so you just have to light that one.

Set up the pyres then light them all in quick succession. As long as you keep moving it doesn't really matter though, as his attacks won't hit you. I did it on my first try and have never understood why players have problems with "run in a circle" :-?.
