Nasturtium, or Limpwurt?

Featured Replies

I'm growing watermelons, and don't have access to White Lillies yet.

Would you recommend using Nasturtiums, to protect them, or Limpwurts, for the cash and extra XP?

Well if you were considering white lillies at all, then definitely go for the nasturtiums.

They would best protect your investment as a single watermelon patch costs far more than limps will give you in return.

Ok, makes sense. I'm not a very experienced farmer, and just wanted some input.

Nasturtiums definitely. You should still use supercompost for watermelons so you get more yield though.

Oh yea, I was just trying to compare them, and wondered what opinion other people had. So far, I'm going with nasturtiums.

I always pay for watermelons. I grow fruit trees (also curry) so I have plenty of those, and since I find watermelon seeds too expensive to buy (low xp/gp) I only plant the ones my fruit bat forages.

I mostly farm herbs only, alotment is not worth it (little xp/gp) so I always grow marigolds in my flower patch. Seeds are <100gp, they sell for 3k ea last time i did.

But if all you grow are herbs, it still ends up being less xp/hour than growing herbs + allotments, doesn't it?

i just grow throwaway crops like tomatoes where the seeds are dirt cheap. I still water them and I may use regular compost, but I treat them as side XP to supplement my herbs and flower patch.

I have a slowly growing number of sweetcorn and better seeds and I'm considering on just selling them and getting herb/tree seeds.

I'm thinking about switching from pure watermelons to strawberries and sweetcorn. It's just that the watermelons are consuming 110% of my profit from herbs, or so it seems.
