for the 50 points it is for me

but it all depends if you need the exp that they give and if you even like killing them

i dont really care for killing them but the exp is always good and you hit alot better with the sight on your helm if you have that as well

I kind of like killing Aquanites. Though I can see why some people wouldn't. They aren't very fast, nor do they yield a lot of profit. I do them just fine using a bunyip though, but I do have to make 2 or 3 trips per task.
