Good luck!

But in my opinion you should have used the money on something like an AGS and pk with it all the time :D!

Way more fun

I wonder if it would be more worth it to use d bones instead of big bones then use the other time on something like GWD

According to my math:

Dragon bones would cost 108m more than big bones.

Dragon bones would save me about 150 hours of time (probably a little less).

To make up for the 108m extra cost, I would need to make over 700k per hour during the 150 hours I saved. While this is probably possible, it would be difficult. Not to mention, I cannot afford to buy 99 Prayer with Dragon bones at the moment.

Well, I'm off for the night. Today was quite a successful day of prayer training. As of now, I'm still feeling pretty good about this going for 99 Prayer thing.

I bought over 100k Big bones today (some are still waiting in the Grand Exchange). Of course, I'm realizing now I have only bought enough Tele-tabs and Marrentill for 45k Big bones. Oh well, I've got plenty of time to buy some more before I run out. Thanks for all of the support guys. This blog is definitely helping me to stay focused and on track towards my goal. :^_^:

Well, today I put the offer in the Grand Exchange for the rest of the Big bones. All 210k are now either bought or in the process of begin bought.

Now for the fun part. Using all of these Big bones...

I know the numbers don't add up to 210k. I've already done 8.5k Big bones though :P

Glad that you decided to buy all of the Bones! I just heard you can do 3 trips before the burners go out. See if thats right when you are working on it.

3 Trips? I've never even gotten in two whole trips before they go out. The best I do is when I come back they're still lit, then they go out about 10 bones later. :-|

Today when I got home, my brother just had to show me another one of his PKing trips. They're usually fairly interesting, but he vids almost literally every single one, so I end up watching a lot of him PKing, along with whatever live commentary he throws in.

However, this vid ended much differently than the other ones tend to:

Yesterday was not a good day for me as far as working towards 99 Prayer. I didn't do anything except buy the rest of the Big bones. Unfortunately, today may not be so great either. We'll see. Hopefully I can at least get in a couple hours.

On the bright side, I'm only waiting on 57k more Big bones in the Grand Exchange. The rest have bought

I just got on for the first time today with sufficient time to get some Prayer in, and with only an hour before today becomes tomorrow. :P

Only waiting on 17k more Big bones in the GE, the rest are in my bank or used up already. I also bought a bunch more House teleports and Marrentill today.

I guess the good news is, I never expected this to be a fast process, so if it drags on for some time, it was expected. Plus it's probably better to take my time than to start off too fast, and burn out quickly (or I'm just rationalizing the breaks I've already started taking to play flash games  )

700k per hour really isnt that hard now a days..I bet I make 5m an hour per hour of play time atm off merching/herb runs/dailies.

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.
...
It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

While I'm sure some styles of gameplay allow for far more profit than 700k/hour, those don't tend to be the ones I enjoy. Looking at your three suggested methods of making money, the only one I've ever done (besides a couple dailies shortly after unlocking them) is herb runs, and when I was doing that it was more for experience. In general, my profits/hour are quite a bit lower than 700k.

Today I considered a new possibility. I am now thinking over diverting the 50m cost of 95 to 99 Prayer into Herblore instead. This would get me 83 or 84 Herblore, at which point I could make Special Restore potions and Extremes (with stews). While this option lacks the coolness of 99 Prayer, it would be much more beneficial for GWD and anywhere else I may want to boost my stats as high as possible.

Any opinions?

I'd say spend it on Herblore then you could camp Bosses for bones for 99 Prayer.

Yeah, I think the herblore is probably going to be a better initial investment than the extra 4 Prayer levels.

Gogo trading 80k Big bones for ~20k Super Attack potions

At least it'll put a little variety into my training right?

Progress Update:

8.5k Big bones and 3k Super Attack potions done last night. Staying over your friend's house and not going to sleep until 4am FTW. lol

Don't you just love essays for school? No Prayer progress today... Maybe I'll get in a little Herblore when I'm done writing. I'm only 30k to level.

Not a lot of progress today, but at least I made some.

Currently doing some more Herblore. I'm going to my friend's house later to build an electric motor for physics class, so we'll have to see just how much Herblore I can get in today.

I just realized I should probably add my Herblore progress to the first post, as it currently only keeps track of my Prayer progress.

Hey everyone. Sorry I haven't updated my blog yet today. I just got home.

I didn't go on RuneScape at all today, so there's no new progress on my goals. Tomorrow is looking to be busy as well, so it may be another "no progress" day.

As I predicted, yesterday I did not get on RS at all. I've been working on this electric motor for the past three days. Yesterday we had one running very well, but it then suddenly stopped working. We looked for any issues, and could not identify the source of the malfunction, so we started over. The next model, while nearly identical to the working one, did not work at all. Isn't it great when you understand how something should work, and then it just doesn't? :wall: :wall: :wall:

I don't really remember what I'm doing today, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to get on RS. Hopefully I can, so I can start getting back on track with my goals, which I've kind of fallen behind on. :-(
