I'm thinking of purchasing a dragon pickaxe, but i'm in doubt as to its effectiveness compared to a rune pickaxe ?

 

The reason for asking is that i remember all too well when i switched from an addy to a rune pickaxe (the rune is 10 times as expensive) and thought; "now i can really deal some damage to those pesky rocks !", but as it turned out i didn't felt that 10 times more expensive pickaxe did that much of a difference.

 

Is the dragon pickaxe yet another Jagex rip-off item ?

 

Can anyone give their recommendation ?

It is indeed 15% faster! Also like Cpt said, you can always sell it back later, it's not like you lose the 14.5M... they've been pretty stable since the bonus xp weekend.

 

IMO I think that the Dragon Pic was the best thing I ever bought. :thumbsup:

If you plan on doing a lot of mining, definetely worth getting. And like already stated, there's always the option to sell it back.

Going by your stats, I don't think you'll use it long enough to make it worth the trouble of buying and then selling. Just stick with rune.

If you're going to do some serious mining, i would buy one. I simply love mine :mrgreen:

I have just checked the latest price for a Dragon pickaxe and it's currently 14.0 mill. so its out of my financial reach !

 

So i'll stick to my good old rune pickaxe for now... :(
