potatohead
I've always accepted having a low herblore level (54), because it's expensive, I dislike training it, and I never really saw a use for it. I've changed my tune a bit recently, and have decided to start training it again. This being said, what is the best (best = cheapest) way to train herblore for each level range. Ex: 54-60, 60-70, etc. Please and thank you. Edit: I'd much prefer to not clean herbs for levels, so take that into consideration when replying. Vulxai
The cheapest is cleaning herbs, as that can net you profit, however it's not very quick. I'm guessing you're buying all your ingredients? In that case, I think Serum 207's are still the cheapest, but you'll use up a bankspace since I don't believe you can note them or sell them. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~

If Serum 207's are the cheapest exp, it'd be a 2m loss from 54-60. :wall: Thanks for the swift reply. I'll also edit the first post to clarify that I don't want to clean herbs for the levels.
qeltar
There is no single best way to train Herblore. It depends on numerous factors, especially how much you value your time. Some of the least expensive methods are also the slowest, and time is money. Mischlings
Assuming 1m an hour, I believe that the current best methods are making regular energy potions or making prayer potions from unfinished potions -- I'm not entirely sure, though. I'll have to check. EDIT: Nix the prayer potions. They're not worth it anymore, though they were earlier in the week. The market for herblore shifts so often that it's difficult to be sure what is the best at any given time. If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.

Side benefit is that it is multitaskable. This assumes prices buying/selling at GE median which of course is not always the case, but that can't be easily taken into account in a guide. Of course as prices change this can change as well. I have a guide on the member's side of my site that shows the best options by level and updates daily; you can try it for a month for a penny if you wish.
