3PointMan
For reference, I am using this router. [hide=][/hide] Ok, so last night my internet connection dropped. I reset my router (shown above) and went to its default IP address. I re-configured all the settings (I used WEP) and connected my dads main computer back up to the router. My iPod touch has found the router and I can now use my iPod touch again. The problem lies within my laptop. My laptop finds the router, but I don't get any internet connection. It connects just fine, but up in the right corner of the network center is says "Unidentified Network. No Internet Access." I've googled this problem and the solution makes no sense to me. Help please! what i'm doing now:soundcloud.com/student1

Solartide
UPDATE: Just read the post you made while I was typing this, I don't have any Windows 7 computers handy right now, but after I get off work I can guide you through it if you want, and if no one responds by then. The following should still work, but it's geared towards XP. Here's what you do bro: Find the following for the network: SSIDEncryption TypeEncryption Key Is the network broadcasting? Or is it hidden? Odds are it's broadcasting, seeing how you're using WEP rather than WPA I'm guessing you didn't bother hiding your network. Go to your wireless configuration, you're using the Windows Zero service right? Not some third party software? Anyway, go to advanced settings, and the Wireless Networks tab at the top. Press "Add..." Enter the SSID, the name of your network.Check the box, connect even if it's not broadcasting. (If your network is hidden)Data encryption: WEPNetwork Authentication: Open or shared, depending on what you set it as.Uncheck the box "The key is provided for me..."Type in your network key (password) in the boxes.Hit "Ok". Are you connected now?

3PointMan
It didn't work. I just checked though, and it says my Local Area Connection Network Cable is Unplugged. I'm using wireless...so what does that mean? what i'm doing now:soundcloud.com/student1
Solartide
That doesn't mean anything, that just means that your wireless isn't connected, and neither is your wired. Have you restarted the computer yet? Can you see your network in the wireless networks around you? In the options, delete the profile you have of the network. I just deleted EVERY network I could see. I'll try to re add it now and thenh restart the computer. Edit: After I added it, it didn't do anything. I'm restarting it now. what i'm doing now:soundcloud.com/student1
Solartide
Whoa slow down a sec, I meant the profile under advanced wireless settings, where it says preferred networks, what did you delete?
3PointMan
Whoa slow down a sec, I meant the profile under advanced wireless settings, where it says preferred networks, what did you delete?I didn't do anything there. I went under "Manage WIreless Networks" It said "Networks you can View, Modify and Reorder" There were 5 networks there, so I deleted them all and added mine in again. It says the same thing "Unidentified Network, No Internet Access." what i'm doing now:soundcloud.com/student1
