L0rdAki Posted April 14, 2010 Share Posted April 14, 2010 Hey guys. I have around 40m in pure cash at the moment, and have noticed all weapons and armour crashing from these new reward weapons. As seen in my other topic, I plan on bossing for cash eventually...I don't want to get a dfs/spec when they've been outdated by these new things... Basically, is now a good time to invest in armour/weps, which would be best to try and get, will bossing still remain viable for cash as well as older equipment? Is everything (godswords, whip, spirit shields) obselete because of this? I dunno what to do... Also, what speeds are the new weapons? EDIT: New question: Should I go for solo bandos or solo armadyl gear? If I buy anything now it's something i'll want to solo with in the future. Also, what speeds are the new weapons?nobody is nowhere near close enough to have the new weaponsbut if chaotic weapons are anything like what they are in gamelongswords are about ~ 5 speed (normal longswords)and rapiers are about ~6 speed (whips/daggers) i have no idea why the heck Bandos and armadyl is crashingthe game doesnt introduce any body armor into the game Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Deltaer Posted April 14, 2010 Share Posted April 14, 2010 This is a temporary 'crash'; really a result of a downturn in economic activity due to the new skill and everyone concentrating their time on it. I.e., there are fewer people buying things, which means a lower demand, and a lower price. Yes, I'm sure some items are crashing because people are concerned that their weapons and whatever will be replaced by these new ones.. but that really won't work out that way - the new weapons are not tradeable (right?), and are really rare and expensive to use (from what I understand, after 10 hours, a recharge costs 2M).. so I would highly doubt that they would substitute the current major weapons. I mean, there's a reason why barrows equipment, although having the best defence stats, are not the most expensive.. cause you have to recharge them. I would say, give it a few days, and everything will be back to normal. I can only tell you what would happen if people were rational. The price might dip even further if people don't really realize that these new weapons are NOT substitutes for current ones (this is assuming that they are not tradeable, really hard to get, and costly to repair, which is what I've heard).. but in the long term, when people figure things out, the price will stabilize to its normal levels again.. how long that takes? Who knows.. my prediction is that it shouldn't take too long, but maybe I'm giving the RS pop. too much credit in figuring these things out.. BUT it's only a guess. It could take a lot longer.
