Jagex slowly increasing skill caps?

Featured Replies

Bone crusher, Prayer - next skill cap to be taken up? Maybe in future? I'm suspecting that. Is there anything stopping a raise of cap in Prayer skill?

I don't really understand how they're related =/

The bone crusher and skill caps I mean

Short answer, no.

Long answer, no, it's been stated on the RSOF that they have no plans to do so.

Bone crusher. Buries 5.5 exp bones and 15 exp bones. That would amount to around 800 exp per hour. Yeah, that's a significant increase. If you're right, they're really taking their time on this one.

When a player has a Bonecrusher present in their inventory, bones which are dropped by monster kills will be automatically converted into prayer exp, the item needs only to be kept in your inventory for it to take effect and may be found useful if you have a tendency to leave bones on the ground and not bury them, as the exp does add up over time. If you have a Bonecrusher in the bank, but not in your inventory, the bones will appear on the ground as usual. However, despite the low dungeoneering requirement, the high token cost (110k) means that it is only affordable at dungeoneering levels above 74, assuming a perfect 10 experience:1 token ratio.

No jagex confirmed several times of RSOF there are no plans to raise any of the other skills.

Jagex says no, but I mean honestly, even if they were, why should they say so? They want people to go out and play dungeoneering, not start racking up 104mil xp in every other skill in anticipation of levels being raised to 120 for other skills.

That said, I doubt jagex will widely release level 120 as a new max, because most players, myself included, don't even have 104 mil xp Total.

"At this time". So you never know what's going to happen in the long run.

Anyways, the bone crusher is hardly game changing. It gives you like an extra 1k prayer exp/hour, and that's if you're power slaying monsters like fire giants which drop big bones. Don't know why you'd use bone crusher on Green Dragons since you can run them faster for 350% bonus at a gilded altar.

Bonecrusher could be useful for slayer tasks like blue drags where if you're like me and dont have 96 sum yet you're just burying them on the spot. They're so weak and easy to kill it becomes a hassle to keep up with bone burying and keeping a healthy killing pace.
