Just need to clear up a few things before investing in a cannon...

 


  1.  
  2. Using a Cannon still doesn't award HP/Constitution experience, correct? Just hoping Jagex didn't botch that up lately.
  3. Can a Cannon be used outside of a multi-area? Like, if I wanted to kill some bears around Ardy, am I able to set one up and attack them, even if it's one at a time?
  4. How often do I need to pick-up the cannon, lest it breaks? Will there be warning messages before this happens?
  5. Assuming I get teleported due to Ring of Life, what happens to my Cannon? Does it disappear or goto my inventory or do I have time to run back & get it?

1. Correct.

2. Correct.

3. After 20 minutes, you'll get a notice that says "Your cannon almost decayed!" After 5 more minutes it decays. So at least once every 25 minutes.

4. Your cannon remains set up. You don't have to go back and get it, you can just let it decay and get a replacement from Nulodion.

3. there is a warning in red in the chat box.

4. You could make it back, or it could disappear, if it disappears you just talk to the dwarf from the quest (the one you buy it from) to get it back.

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

  3. Yes.
  4. Apparently it's enough time to have it make ~400 rotations. Or was it 1600? I forget. :(
  5. You'll need to go back and pick it up. Same with if you die.

Quest cape achieved 28 Dec, 2009, lost with Nomad's Requiem, re-obtained on 19 Mar 2010.

 

Fire cape achieved 1 Nov 2010.

You get it back for free. If you die WITH THE CANNON SET UP, you can claim it for free. If you die with it IN YOUR INVENTORY, then you will only keep 3 items like usual, although the cannon protects over many things(even the whip). And yes, buying a cannon off the GE gives you this opportunity.

 

Sorry to hijack, but if you have cannonballs in your cannon, and it decays, do you get the balls back or not?

You get it back for free. If you die WITH THE CANNON SET UP, you can claim it for free. If you die with it IN YOUR INVENTORY, then you will only keep 3 items like usual, although the cannon protects over many things(even the whip). And yes, buying a cannon off the GE gives you this opportunity.

I dont think so but its a maximum of 50 (or is it 30?) at a time so its not really too big of a difference.

An example would be safespot ranging black demons with a cannom, it will attack all the demons as long as you're not being attacked meaning that you can still range them :thumbup: .

its widely considered to be the fastest way to kill black demons for slayer tasks. Empty world+cannon=pro xp.

What do you mean a waste of cannonballs? As long as they fire (And Hit) they'll still do damage, and even if you do get attacked you can just kill them off later and they'll have less exp.
