Money making ideas

Featured Replies

I recently returned from a long leave of absence and am looking for ideas on how to make some money. I would very much appreciate a listing of some of the best options as well as the expected average profit per hour of each of them. See my signature for stats. Also, please let me know if there are any good methods I could use if some of my stats were higher. Thanks!

Well if you had a bit higher runecrafting, you could ghraak natures, and there was an update to runecrafting, so the closer lvl you are to the double rune lvl then you have a better chance of making double runes, for example someone with lvl 80 rc has like 40% chance of making a double rune.

EDIT: also since you have fairly high stats you could try boss hunting like GWD or DK's or TD's depending on your equipment

I know I'm not the only one who would suggest you slay ;)

Dragon drops: 82 (2 claws)

Dagannoth kings drops: 73

Barrows item count: 51

GWD drops: 54 (5 hilts: 1x bandos, 3x saradomin, 1x zamorak)

Whips: 4

Sigils: 1x spectral (FFA), 1x arcane (FFA)

Slaying is what I'm currently doing, but I was hoping for something a little faster. I have most of my money invested into slaying equipment at the moment, although I could sell some of it if necessary for boss hunting. My boss hunting experience is limited to some kq duos for fun, so if I wanted to do some serious monster hunting, where would be a good place to start out and learn the ropes?

I would suggest starting a new thread, because with this title you wont get the right audience. But to answer your question (with my very limited knowledge of Boss hunting) I would say that daggonath kings are your best bet because i believe you dont need to flash prayers, which you do need to do at the TD's. Though i have no idea how hard GWD is.

EDIT: Oh yea and most slayer equipment can be also used for boss hunting

Dagannoth Kings (2-3m/h)

Tormented Demons (3-4m/h)

Solo Armadyl (5m/h with extremes)

Solo Bandos (2-3m/h with extremes and turmoil)

Pking (Variable, more than 1m/h if you targ hunt without dying too much)

Team Corping (1.5-3m/h depending on luck)

Duo Bandos (no idea about Gp Rates)

Trio Armadyl (same as above)

Tanning Snake hides (3k times however much profit you get)

Making Unf Potions (Only works on some, 2k times whatever profit you get)

Herb cleaning (Only works on some, 5k times whatever profit you get)

Merchanting or 'Flipping' (5-10% of your cashpile daily)

Killing Green Dragons (Depends how well you can click, usually 1m-1.3m/h profit)

Picking Fungi (800k/h without a familiar)

Slayer (Slow method, it's not profit orientated)

Picking up Snapegrass (500k/h or something. Don't know rates)

Picking Whiteberries (500k/h)

Camping Abyssal Demons (900k/h? Don't know rates for that)

Camping Spiritual Mages (Don't know rates either)

TD's, if you can do them, are the best gp/h at your stats.

You could camp spiritual mages/abby demons, it'd probably be 750k/h

Crafting nature/death runes, you might only get ~500k/h, but once you get to 75 you should be able to get more, then with double astrals and double nats you can make over 1M/h

Catch chins (dunno rates)

Getting to 80 mining, then mining gold deposits in LRC is around 300-400k/h, but also somewhat afk-able

GWD makes you at least 1.5M/h, with your stats you could go to Bandos, I'd recommend at least 90 range before you try Arma/Sara.

Also, you should do herb farming runs, invest into MTK, and get at least the dailies nearby the herb patches (like seaweed/pineapples near catherby, battlestaves if you tele to varrock like me after finishing herb runs to bank).
