Hey all! I have a question. Does anybody know the approximate xp per hr rates for sharks and monkfish?

 

Also, I did the math, and from my level, getting 99 fishing with monkfish will give me about 65m, with sharks it will give me about 160m! Yes, I know I can't fish sharks yet, but this is only an estimate.

 

So my second question is, from a person who is getting 99 woodcutting on eucalyptus trees, is it worth it taking the time to get 99 on sharks and get the 160m, or should I stick with monkfish and get 65m? Thanks!

Monkfish are faster exp and money than sharks... At least they were a few months ago :/ I don't see how fishing is related to wcing eucs...

why not do monkfish to 90, and then rocktail to 99. Sharks are incredibly slow xp.

I second that, monkfish are extremely faster. You should do sharks at 97-98 or something, with ToG gloves.

Your looking at 3-5 monkfish for 1 shark ratio speed wise.

I myself am 93 fishing and I can say what everyone else says. Sharks is incredibly slow at even such a high level as myself. It is simply not worth it. Monkfish on the other hand, that is some fine exp right there.

ok, so it came down to what I thought. Gunna stick with monks after 99 wc...

Be sure to fish rocktails ASAP. In my experience, they are a bit better xp than monks, and waaaaaaay better cash!

lol thats not till lvl 90, so i dont have to worry about that yet :thumbsup:
