Ss_J9_Goten
Hi, I have two different questions. 1. Say I have a class c network that has one router, one network switch and several computers. Their addresses would follow the format of something like 207.155.34.X, yes? Or no? 2. I have an external hard drive without a plugged power source, formatted FAT32, and my internal hdd (WD Caviar Black 1TB) is NTFS. My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. There are some files on the external that I can't copy over, like several videos and a 2.6gb .zip file. The error message I get says "Cannot read from the source file or disk" and it gives me the options to retry, skip or cancel. It's a problem with the external hdd because it does this with every computer I've tried it on. I tried unzipping the zip file, but I get an error that the "archive is either an unknown format or damaged". How can I fix this?

I received this error using an usb drive; it turned out to be AVG blocking the accsess.
Ss_J9_Goten
Thanks for the reply, but I don't use AVG.
D. V. Devnull
In regard to #2 --- Have you tried using an alternate OS to attempt the copy? ~D. V. "I had to ask..." obfuscator
Can you actually view the videos? It is possible that they actually are corrupted. "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti
IamRhhh4
From WikipediaThe maximum possible size for a file on a FAT32 volume is 4 GiB minus 1 byte (2³²−1 bytes). Video applications, large databases, and some other software easily exceed this limit. Larger files require another formatting type such as NTFS.
