Distractions and Diversions vs Activities

Recommended Posts

There seems to be some confusion over the two terms on tip.it, with all D&Ds being categorised as activities (http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=activities.htm). This is of course not Jagex's stance, as they dichotomise the two (http://www.runescape.com/kbase/guid/manual) with the former having time constraints. If this sweeping categorisation is not deliberate, then all the D&Ds have to be recategorised.

Jagex does split them out, but that could simply be a media tactic to make the game appear fuller (more manual pages = more content).

However if you consider D&Ds at essence they are mini-games with limited play throughs per day or week so therefore can easily be classed under the broad "Activities" title for Tip.Its purpose. This also makes site navigation easier because they are all in one place, if split you as a player would have to decide (if you do not already know) if something is in fact an activity or a D&D which could slow you down and make Tip.It seem less user friendly.

I would agree however that the activites page should perhaps be split (as it is for mini-quests) to be activities and D&Ds seperately

Thank you Chenjs2 for this suggestion, it's something that was defiantly needed. I arranged them to according to Jagex's list of activities and D&D's.

Users will also find a new labeling system and a filter to go with it.

I hope you enjoy it
