Losing money?

I'm considering training my melees to the 90's, considering that you can't really boss hunt without good melees. However, I'm a

real tightass, and don't want to lose any money doing it. I consider most of my loss to be from buying/selling items, as I can never buy anything for less then highest and can never sell anything for more then lowest.

I was considering getting 90 attack on AZ's, with this setup:

Nezzy, bcp/tassies, sw cape, salve ammy (e), whip/defender, d boots, berzerker ring, barrows gloves.

After 90 attack, I'm selling all of that gear then going to waterfiends with the following setup:

Nezzy, full karils OR armadyl, glory if I have arma, fury if karils, d boots, b gloves, berzerker ring, Sara sword, sw cape.

I'd be camping there to about 92 str, or enough charms for a uni.

My main concern with training lies in the gear. Shelling out for pots is fair enough, but I own No gear ATM as I always lose money on items somehow.

Could I have a little advice here?

Drops: Black Mask.

Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff.

When I buy gear I buy it with the intent to use it. It's like buying a car, there is depreciation over time. Most armours go down over time, although at the moment most armours in the game are currently stable.

As you can see I do intend to use it.

I'm just nervous about depreciation.

It looks like you'll be doing long term training so you'll make the money back through normal training. I wouldn't worry too much whats afew million if your making more than that in one drop when you begin to monster hunt with your newly improved melee stats.

You'd be fine in bandos for AZ's, because as low said you'll make enough money even if it does depreciate in value. For waterfiends settling with karils/fury is perfectly fine.

Plus, since summer is coming up very soon, armor will raise in price if anything :D

I suppose that makes sense...

Still would like some advice on training. I realize there's an aow guide on waterfiends, but are you sure they make cash with piety...?

Just brought bcp/tassies, d boots and whip. I feel like a total badass

I'm tired and CBA to play today, though, so training's on hold.

Well I guess I came in a bit too late, but prossy gives better exp/hour than bandos at armoured zombies and since they're so cheap there's basically no depreciation. But don't fret, if you want you can sell bandos once it rises above what you bought it for and then you have a viable alternative; you can profit from any economic change as long as you're willing to be dynamic about your methods and habits.

I've got a sw cape, so I last just as long as most people there with prosyl and a fire cape. Idk if switching would be worth it.

I was considering switching to ghostly warriors. I like the passive drops and CHARMS that Az's give, but finding a world that's not booked out by 130+ kids is more hassle then bandos...

Why not just but the armor at the Exchange, do something else until you get the armor, train, sell the armor, do something else, rinse, repeat?
