making webtemplate

hey i need help making a web template. i have used many tutorails trying to make one but i never get the coding ands cuts right.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

i use photoshop and dreamweaver. so i need to cut out then code it into dreamweaver.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

i want it to be the exact same template as ensable studios online. being as its an aoe3 clan. thanks

I think Dreamweaver has a Save As Web Template option. Or New --> Web Template. One of them should work because I done it on Dreamweaver awhile ago.

Photoshop is never gonna make decent code to make a website. You are better off coding from scratch in notepad. the code will be clean, valid and look exactly how you want. You also need to remember that ensable studio's design will be copyrighted

i cant use copyrighted matirial for a private non profit club? i will not be using it for anything other then a webtemplate?

i dont think i agree with doing the graphics and coding seperately. with all the templates I've done, though not many, ive used photoshop and imageready. They've all worked fine for me, but whatever floats your boat :P

That produces very sloppy code and generally these sites load a lot slower. Majority of the time these sites just end up with a lot of spacers and images that are solid colors that could have been coded a lot easier and would reduce loading times.
