br3tt0wnz
Question 1: Armoured Zombies. I have heard that they are the best Melee XP in the game. If this is true, what level should I start training on them to get an efficient XP gain? I was planning to start at them once I got 100 cb (80 attk, str, def). Does this sound like a good level to do so? Question 2: Range. I suck at it. Never really trained it besides quests and the circus. So I need some advise for training range. At my level, I was planning to train it on slayer while I'm training slayer. But I see a lot of people with crossbows. Are they better XP? if so, what type of crossbow and bolts? Thanks in advance! --Brett0wnz Please visit my new account found here for stats and other info. My New Account
Mythrandir
What really makes the armoured zombies so good is the ability to pray at the altar to use piety. Without piety, it's really not all that great. You'll want to invest in 70 prayer. Your other combat levels are fine for it though. For range slaying, unless you're in Kuradal's dungeon (which you won't be at your level), you're better off using a crossbow. You also will want to use broad bolts, which require 55 slayer. Some monsters with really weak defense could be ranged using knives or darts (i. e. fire giants) but generally stick with crossbow on rapid as a safe bet. schmuall
You will always hate range so long as it is significantly lower than your other skills. My advice would be to put in an offer for bronze knives in the GE now (they don't buy too quickly iirc) do all the fremminik quests so you can access Yaks then go with your best range stuff (ideally range void but don't get it if you don't already have it) and train it up until it is at least only 5 levels below your mellee stats. You can of course train in other areas, I just happen to like this one. If you try to train slayer through range while it is at such a low level you'll end up getting frustrated at an already slow skill. give F2P a penny and they want a dime; give P2P a quarter, they want 100,000 dollars, your car, house, boat, social security number, credit card numbers, drivers license, clothes on your back and everything you ever owned or interacted with ever
PereGrin
I've never dont armured zombies, so im not sure about them. I do know that one of the best armor setups you can use down there is the Void Melee setup. For ranging, I got 61 range using a Magic Short Bow at ogres. Then I went from 61-70 range at Tzhaar with a rune c bow or magic shortbow. And 70-87 range was completely at aviansies with rune c bow and broad bolts. I used Iron arrows with mage short bow. Ogres are boring, but there are plenty of safe spots and its decently fast xp, so you won't be there long.
