As the title says. I'm a pure. I'm debating between slayer to 99 range, or just power ranging it. Money isn't really a problem. What is the fastest way to get to 99 for? I'm p2p btw. I'll do quests, if only absolutely

Pure like 1 defense?

 

A fast but expensive way would be knives + cannon on rock crabs to like 70/80 and then chinning mummies in the chaos tunnels.

only 7 levels? Or would it be worth it to cannon to 80. And are rock crabs the best xp from cannoning range as a pure? And would a minimum of 43 prayer be ok for chinning? Or should I have higher pray. Thanks.

43 is the minimum so you can protect from melee while chinning. Higher would be better, but not needed.

 

You can also cannon while you slay, but some tasks might be harder to do and also having 43 prayer is recommended so you can prot from melee on those as well.

Rock crabs were just an easy example of something cannonable in multi-combat with low quest requirements. They have the added advantage of barely hurting you even on 1 def. I'm sure there are cleverer solutions, though.

 

You'll have a far wider range of options if you choose to use protection prayers for this. Given the cost of cannonballs, prayer potions aren't going to make the dent in your wallet much worse.

 

Being pure limits your available chin spots. I can only think of mummies, and they have decently high defense. But probably being inaccurate is better than sitting through 70-80 pray on the cannon if you really have the gp to burn.

pures can use ape atoll skeleton monkeys too. most pures do it anyways for the dragon scim. which now looks like crap.

 

i'd say at least get a decent slayer level, like 55-60. its useful and looks better than 23 or whatever.

im 1 def, i have 10 defense xp.

 

i have adamant rfd gloves, 205 Qp, and i have unlocked ape atoll teleport.

 

if he doesnt want the hassle of doing the rfd subquest for a quick way back, he can just not complete monkey madness and return via the glider whenever he wants. should get the greegrees though, otherwise its very dangerous.
