Soloing Tds

I was Thinking about doing solo td's. I've only done this once and it went a horrible disaster because i ended up nearly dieing only to be saved by my RoL. So i have few questions:

1. Whats a decent setup that doesnt cost a lot of money (and please take my stats into consideration), P.S I dont have my void anymore as i lost it recently and i cba to spend hours on end at pc to get it back.

2. Is it possible to solo td's with my stats? I've seen people do it at lower but im not the best prayer switcher in the world.

3. Would my stats be effective enough to get a fair amount of kills per trip before having to bank? Is there something else i can do that would make me better money with combat like hunting.

P.s.s i also noticed that my siggy hasnt updated im 90 attack and i have the charms for 83 summoning if that helps at all.

Before I got void, I used welfare gear there since my internet connection was unreliable... Fortunately, the difference between optimum gear and welfare gear isn't too great at TDs

Helm of Neitiznot

Glory

Prayer-boosting cape > fire cape or accumulator

D'hide top

D'hide chaps

Barrows gloves

Climber boots or Frog boots

Whip/rune c'bow

Explorer ring/ring of life

Broad bolts (if you really wanna be frugal... otherwise use plain runite since they're cheaper than diamond)

Zammy book or defender

super att, super str, range pot, darklight, sapphire lantern, alch runes, elemental titan scrolls and extra pouch, prayer pots, extra food

make sure you've got the 500k gravestone so you can get back to your items in time, and make sure you've got extra sapphire lanterns in your bank

If you have a fury, and won't lose it if you die, take one. Also, you'll probably want to use titans.

Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. (At one point.) 2000+ total. 99 Magic.
[spoiler=The rest of my sig. You know you wanna see it.]

my difinition of noob is i dont like u, either u are better then me or u are worst them me

Buying spins make you a bad person...don't do it. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.

Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:

your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupine

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

Ok tds are out of the question my 2nd trip failed as well =[ I need some other suggestions on what boss monsters i can hunt for money.

Alternatively, you could try getting better at killing them

God forbid a boss monster is actually difficult in this game. . .

no need to be a smart [wagon] muggi i simply said im not going to do them but i didnt mean forever just until i get better at pray switching, unlike u not everyone is good at boss hunting and im not rich so i cant afford to die over and over again.

@blade,

I dont think my stats are good enough for corp, sara, or arma are they? I've been to bandos several times in a time but im having a bit of a hard time finding one without extreme's/overloads/turmoil.

I'd say give TDs another try, it was only your second trip, you won't be perfect after your first few trips. Also, the pray switching is hardly difficult at TDs, just switch every so often, as long as you distinguish between their three attacks you'd do fine. Also, dieing at TDs is hardly an issue as long as you have the 500k grave and spare sapphire lanterns. If you're uncomfortable, just practice running back, and see how much time you'd have to pick up your stuff at your speed. Losing black d'hide and some other stuff shouldn't really hurt you if you can't make it back, but no reason you shouldn't be able to make it back unless you get a random.

Ya dude I used to think I would never kill tds until yesterday my friend convinced to to try one more time, and guess what ..... D Claws now I know I got lucky but this is only my second day of killing tds and im already getting 6-12 kills without banking, when before i couldnt even get one. So ya they suck at first, but it just takes a while to get used to them then thats when you start making some serious money.

South of the entrance. You can trap one and safely kill the other, unless a noob lures one to crash you then proceeds to hop.

i guess ill keep trying them but im down to 10m so if i die again i might not be able to keep killing them lol. What is the best spot for a newbie to use when killing them?

The southwest spot is my fav with use of d hally you dont have to pray good portion of the time.

Also heres a guide that shows how to get to it and lure it, also the gear part is good to look at to.

Kinda off topic but does any1 else have the problem where after you leave td area you still here their soundeffects? Maybe its just me ....

Ok im going for another run if i fail to solo this time i might try to take up one of the other posters on his offer to teach me through duoing them

Also another quick tip you may already be using but I found the F1 and F3 keys to be a big help specially when u have to switch wep and prayer at same time almost.

You could always try barrowing for some cash?

This is my set up:

Head : Guthan

Ammy: Glory/Fury

Legs: Guthan

Boots: Dragon

Cape: Quest cape/ Soul wars cape

Ammo: Harrlander tar/broad bolts

Shield: None/Obby

Weapon: Black sally/Whip/dds/Guthan spear/rune crossbow

Ring: Life

My inventory has the usual stuff for barrows (4 p pots, 2 super att/str) and i use the sidestep with ice blitz.

I can normally get 10-12 chests a run ^^

Hope this helps
