best way to raise cafting

i dont want to spend a ton of money, but what are some good ways to raise cafting

Buying green hides and tanning yourself to craft isnt that expensive. I think air bstaves are cheaper though.

I think making battlestaves is cheap exp, buy the staff from that zaff fellow, the orbs from the ge, then craft.

Only problem with this is that you can only buy so many staffs from zaff every day. You could try to buy them on ge, but I don't think they will buy very easily.
