My bank is a mess

Here's a very good method.

Items that have multiple forms of essentially the same base item should be cascaded vertically in the same tab. In other words, let's take potions for example. In my bank, I have a tab that has the first row, first column Extreme Attack(4). In the second row, first column, I have Extreme attack (3), and so on until fourth row, first column, when I get to Extreme Attack (1). You could do this horizontally as well, just make sure you keep it neat.

This allows you to easily throw around items with different charges. I've found that those items are the ones that really eat up bankspace and make your bank hard to navigate. By organizing them in this way, you can find your Glories, Rings of Duelling, etc. in no time.

Here's a pic of my bank from a few months ago. I think it's pretty organized ;]

I found it easiest (when I still played) to categorize my items into their function, e.g runes would go in a 'Magic' tab along with my mystic robes. Following that method enabled me to find items very quickly, especially in tandem with the search function.

Follow what they said, but one thing I learned is, make a tab especially for quest items. I find it extremely hectic whilst looking for quest items and I find them purged in the Misc tab (before I used the quest tab).

I used all my tabs, heres a list to help you get an idea:

Tab 1: GP, other currencies, casual outfits or items I use often

Tab 2: Mage related, includes all runes, tabs, rc pouches/tiaras, robes.

Tab 3: Range + Melee, includes arrows, bolts, weapons, etc.

Tab 4: Herblore/farm, includes herbs, seconds, vials, seeds, and all the stuff I brew

Tab 5: Wc/mining/fish/construction/hunter

Tab 6: Summoning, includes charms, pouches, seconds

Tab 7: Crafting, jewelery, hides, teleport jewelery is here too.

Tab 8: Quest, all random stuff go here

Tab 9: TT and drops, includes all the random stuff needed in Uri's emotes, and all TT drops and slayer drops I get.

Hope I helped, I know how much of a chore it is to keep your bank organised

Have a quick look at my banking guide and look at my bank screenies there. I know it's F2P, but it might give you some ideas of how to arrange your items.

When I jumped from F2P, it basically kept the same tabs and just put my new items into the existing categories I had.

My (IMO) fairly well organized bank. Excuse the low cashpile, am flipping a few hundred Mil atm  Everything else should be self explanatory.
