XBOX 360...DEFECTIVE?

MS always rush out their products, thats why where are always so many patches and fixes for their software in the first few months of release.

Unattainable deadlines were placed on the factories and unfortunatly the quality has been lowered in order to produce more quantity. Without decent quality control these kinds of things happen. MS should not have released for the christmas market, by trying to get in early to beat the PS3 and Revolution they have unfortunatly got themselves in a big whole.

i to some extent disagree as your are clearly a MS hater you have not put forward the fact sony are also well known for defect products, infact everyone of there consoles has had problems.

playstation - when first released, had serious overheat issues, and the laser was so exposed, it was literally breaking with minimal contact, the issue was fixed soon after release, but i suspect the 360's will be too

playsation 2 - "disc read error" sound familiar? thats because 80% of playstation 2 users have seen this message, and had to replace there ps2 because of it, sony also practically admited it wasnt a mistake this happened, but to simply generate more sales (the console was designed to break after 13+ months, meaning most guarentees were null and void)

psp - had tft screen issues, where sony were simply not testing there quality of there screens at all, many had insane amounts of dead pixels, and some even had what looked like huge black smears accross them caused by what is thought to be where some psp's were stored near magnetic waves

so please before you just slag of the 360 just because its made by MS, most people have had no problems with their xbox's, but ask a playstation user if theyve ever had problems, most will say yes.

i respect your point that maybe it was a little rushed, but just dont say its an ms trait, when overs clearly do it as well

Isn't it perfectly natural a new console gets errors right after his release? It happened to every other console, so you'll have to live with it. That's why I always buy a console 6 months or even a year after its release. Cheaper+updated= good.

The ps2 had just as many complaints when it first came out

300 out of millions? No.

There arent millions of xbox 360s sold yet...

and 300 is just a number someone pulled out of their "behind"

Just because people don't waste time whining on forums, doesn't mean they don't have a defective xbox.

"Microsoft is hoping to sell three million Xbox 360s in the first 90 days that the console is on sale."

Millions may not have been sold yet, but the shipment of the millions is or will soon be out and just need to be purchased.

300 is a number I made up. And yes not everyone who has a defected one is complaining, but my point is you're only reading about the people who do have a defective one. The percentage is so small right now that you can't really get angry with MS.
