November 25, 200520 yr Movie #1 ff7 advent children. I don't want to ruin the movie for the people who haven't seen it yet. The plot wasnt as great as the game, but it still had substance. It had a good idea off it, and definitly a good storyline continuence. For people who haven't played ff7, they do a little quick run through at the start of the movie what happened in ff7. I highly suggest you play the game first thoroughly, otherwise the movie will not be as good. Its a 3d movie, so the graphics were awesome. Good special effects, and just seeing the ff7 characters reappear was a cool feeling. The coolest battle scenes on any movie, and this movie has it. I'de give it a 8 out of 10.
November 25, 200520 yr I thought it was a very good movie. Probably the best movie I've seen all year. It was visually breathtaking... The music was good, and it had a good storyline. I don't even think you really have to play the game to appreciate it. I loved it and I've never even really played Final Fantasy 7. The movie speaks for itself.
November 26, 200520 yr Much like Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, the biggest draw back for this movie is the requirement to have played the game - very thoroughly. I've only played a bit of FFVII and I was "wtf" through a lot of it. Pity really, I probably would've enjoyed it more if they didn't have such a huge dependancy on the people having played the game prior to seeing that movie. @Runescape_Hyuggi: Then why post at all? :-?
November 26, 200520 yr I didn't enjoy Spirits Within, but FF7:: Advent Children, after playing pretty much all FF games (Emulator for originals :D) and being a huge fan, this film was amazing. Easily can say one of the best films of the year. It was just.. incredible.
November 26, 200520 yr im with rick here, i didnt even get through the first cd, but i did know a little about it. some of the times its like "i recognize that place" or "that person", but everything moves by really quickly with no real explanation. i liked the graphics, so i was enertained the whole time, it just took a lot of concentration to figure out what the hell is going on.
November 26, 200520 yr Author Well, luckily for the people that bearly played that have a quick overveiw of the game storyline right before the movie starts, but even with that its still hard to understand to know what is going on.
November 27, 200520 yr i loved it, except i got the early release in japan with american subtitles. "Ive always tried to kill the greatest man alive, but then I finally realize that suicide is not the answer" QsBillabong
November 29, 200520 yr AC had crazy graphics and you don't really need to play the game(I did) IMO, but more just have a backround of what happened such as *spoilers for ff7* seph kills aeris seph was predead (the pink name i can't remember) is what made sephiroth the way he was cloud had the pink thingy inside of him they killed seph in the end that and a very minor brief of each character
December 1, 200520 yr I have not seen this film yet  , does anyone know if it will be released in NewZealand? I myself have played and beaten ff7 with all of my main characters at level 99.... and all of them have best equipment possible, all of the summons and i have even beaten the 2 weapons. i loved the game, i really cant wait till i see the movie.

FF:TSW was never based on a game... and thats what i disliked about it.. And i definitly didnt like that it was all way to futuristic... BTW, it is sappoused to be realesed january 10th in northamerica, with a possibe showing in the theaters. But somone saied on RS (And i relaly dont trust them) that there was the UMD out already.. which wouldnt make sense cause the UMD isnt even out in japan. Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! December 1, 200520 yr FF:TSW was one of those branched off things. Baseline knowledge of the game generally helped to understand it more. But that's just my feelings on it. I know it wasn't based off a game in particular, but it just helped in some ways.
December 1, 200520 yr its not out in the united states. So sad I really wanted to see it. If it is I havent seen anything of it from TV. 99 Fishing 11/12/2006 790th fisher to 99Former Tip.it Events team leader
December 3, 200520 yr TSW was ok but it's far from advent children. The animation was amazing especialy liked it when cloud and the 2 silver haired dudes fight on bikes. The animation of them jumping from bike 2 bike was just amazing.
