mujammil
Why bother posting on this forum if you completely disregard our opinion... seriously. You've asked the piety on slayer question... how many times now? Every single time you have been recommended to piety, yet here you are again asking about the same question.. L0rdAki
It just keeps losing cash though... Seriously, i've yet to see another person slaying with the setup that's been reccomended and most of the time I get my fandom trolled by some 130+ kid who lol's at me praying on tasks. Also, i'm losing cash. That can't be a good thing. Drops: Black Mask.Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff.
Obtaurian
It's the same sort of thing though. There's no reason why I couldn't get at least 80 mage if Solo Maging rex is better then green dragons. There's no use limiting myself to a stupid, outdated method when better ones are affordable and available. It's no where NEAR the same sort of thing. You're comparing apples and African honeybees. Stupid and outdated? It's NOT a bad way to make money if you're tight on cash and want to make more. If you can afford it, get 80 first, then PC for a void mace. Seeing as how you'll disregard everything anyone posting on this thread will say, I'd say your ~40m cashpile will remain untouched. IF YOU DON'T FEEL LIKE GETTING A VOID MACE, STOP COMPLAINING AND BRING YOUR SOL TO REX WITH SLAYER DART RUNES AND MAKE SOME MONEY. Read that twenty times. ^ ^ ^ It just keeps losing cash though... Seriously, i've yet to see another person slaying with the setup that's been reccomended and most of the time I get my fandom trolled by some 130+ kid who lol's at me praying on tasks. Also, i'm losing cash. That can't be a good thing. Of course you're losing cash. You're a mid level player. Are you saying that because most other people don't slay with the setups recommended to you, and because idiot high levels have made fun of you, that you're going to stop using decent gear? wat. PROTIP: 90% of slayers suck at slaying. This is a fact of life. Most other slayers you see will be doing idiotic things that do not make any sense, such as bringing a DFS to every task or wearing dragon platelegs. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off. L0rdAki
The truth hurts :/ When do I start breaking even then? Major lolz at the 90% of slayer's thing too, because unsurprisingly I see some guy with overloads bring a dfs on a dragons task...>_> Also, I can't afford a sol...can you sell it back again decently enough? Got any good guides on solo maging Rex? (that link that was posted is broken for me) Drops: Black Mask.Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff. Obtaurian
I'd say you'll start breaking even at 85 slayer, but keep in mind that your low combat stats severely hinder you. SOLs are a pretty safe item. Maging rex has hardly changed at all these past few years. It's fairly simple and there are a few different methods. Search around for guides. There's plenty. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off. L0rdAki
I'll take a look around. I get quite a few looks for some reason having 75 slayer at my level. L0rdAki
:P My biggest problems for solo Rex seem to be making sure that the other dks don't get onto you, tanking the things in the water, and dealing with crashers (honestly, like all thingS I'm gonna get crashed). None of the guides I've read (2008-) seem to cover any adjustments to the roaming areas. Also, it seems like it's gonna take an hour to get there, and my bank budget worth of gear (dfs, guthans, ee, torts/yips, ect). Is this about right? Getting people to help me get in isn't a problem (I assume burstinglobs would help). Is it rather risky? (like tanking at my levels, I don't consider gwd risky but I'm relativly "experienced" at gwding). Drops: Black Mask.Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff. L0rdAki
What are they for? Also, how much will I lose getting to 85 slayer and approximatly how long will it take? mujammil
Really... the bow and whip are oubviously for killing supreme/prime if they manage to get on you. And slayer you shuldn't lose money at all even below 85 slayer, i break even on most tasks due to abby spectres/gargoyle tasks, and also you start getting a lot of money at 80 slayer from nechreyals aswell because they drop lots of expensive seeds. L0rdAki
May as well go full out tribrid then :| I don't have the stats nor the cash to go "Yeah, i'll just bring a bow and stuff and own the crap outta a boss if it somehow starts attacking me". You seriously think that I could take either one of them down? :| Drops: Black Mask.Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff. Obtaurian
Pretty much what Muj said. Also, it's impossible for anyone to tell you how much money you'll lose from whatever to 85 slayer. Keep in mind that you can't just do ten tasks and tally up your profit/loss. You'll break even or profit in the longterm, and definitely profit in the very longterm. May as well go full out tribrid then I don't have the stats nor the cash to go "Yeah, i'll just bring a bow and stuff and own the crap outta a boss if it somehow starts attacking me". You seriously think that I could take either one of them down? No, that's not what Muj is saying (and you sure as hell can't tribrid with your stats). An easy, relatively safe method of DKing is leaving mage pray on and using prayer boosting armor while you mage rex. You bring the whip so that if Supreme sees you, you have a way to deal with him. Once again, people have been DKing with stats similar to yours for YEARS with worse gear than you have available to you now. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off. L0rdAki
And that will generate awesome profit? I sure hope so :| I'll sell up my slayer gear and take a more serious look at DKing then, if it really is good cash and stuff. I dunno about just bringing a just in case weapon though - it's like going Bandos and bringing a crossbow "Just in case you wanna go do some arma, too". Obtaurian
And that will generate awesome profit? I sure hope so :| Not uber pwnage 1337 insane 200m gp/h, but it's a decent way to make money for a player with your stats. I'll sell up my slayer gear and take a more serious look at DKing then, if it really is good cash and stuff. Don't sell your slayer gear. I dunno about just bringing a just in case weapon though - it's like going Bandos and bringing a crossbow "Just in case you wanna go do some arma, too". ... what? Kree doesn't randomly wander into the Bandos room. Once again, apples to Africanized honeybees. EDIT: Why do I keep posting when I know that you're going to make a new topic in a few days asking similar questions? You don't even seem to play Runescape; you just like to post on TIF. mujammil
Lol u funny obt. Yh and can the OP please stop with their fail anolgies because they really do not work. The bow and whip are just in case you manage to get prime/sup on you. If you don't want to bring them, then don't, just have fun tanking supreme hits and constantly praying mage, k? L0rdAki
I'd rather make my time on RS worth it, wasting time posting on TIF. Shoot me for being stupid. Also, the prospect of gaining about 2.5m slayer exp before it starts becoming profitable, at a estimated 20k/40k an hour makes me think that even RC would be a better option. It'l be like 4 days straight slaying at 25k an hour >_> Drops: Black Mask.Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff.
mujammil
We're not telling you to slay for profit, i'm telling you to slay as a great combination to get melle xp, whilst also enjoymeny and making gp at the same time as from one of your previous threads you stated you wanted to max melle. DKs = profit, Slay = melle xp + fun and little profit.

It'l be like 4 days straight slaying at 25k an hour >_> Well then here's a survey to see if slayer is right for you and your purposes: 1) Do you enjoy slayer? 2) Do you plan on attaining 99 slayer at some point in the future? If you answered yes to one or both of these questions, then you should [bleep]ING SLAY AND STOP COMPLAINING. You want the combat levels to boss hunt, right? If you just want combat levels and you don't care about gaining slayer experience, seek out other methods of leveling combat. If you want slayer experience, keep slaying. It's really very simple. BeNiceOk
It sounds to me like you just want to make easy quick GP with little effort involved. Dont believe when people say so-and-so makes quick easy GP. There is no such thing as quick easy GP this in this game (except maybe farming, but even that is limited). I am guessing someone told you slayer was amazing profit? Like said above, slayer is about doing slayer assignments and ENJOYING doing them. Profit from tasks is just a side reward, and not the reason you should do slayer. Runescape has always been a risk vs. reward game. You either risk items, or time, for a reward. A reward you might not always get right away. If making quick GP is all you find fun in this game, do some boring repetitive task nobody likes to do, over, and over, and over, until you make the GP you want. If you want to have fun doing something else, have fun doing that activity instead and slightly make GP on the side. But I can tell you personally, very little of this game is about how much GP you have because at the end of the day nobody really cares what anyone else has. Your always a noob to someone else. More ontopic-ish (I guess):For DKs I would recommend going with a small group of people until you get the hang of it yourself. Going in, not knowing what you are doing can be dangerous. At least if you are with people you know they can save your items if you do happen to die. Once you are more comfortable doing DKs alone, then go on solo trips. You clearly do not enjoy it. Seconded. Slayer is fun for me because it's a perfect mix of melee xp, slayer xp, hp xp, money, charms, and fun factor. Obviously, waterfiends have a higher category in almost all of those things than slayer. Ditto for just camping Abyssal Demons. I would never even think of doing Slayer if it wasn't fun. You seem to like formulas. Try this one (Fun Value)(Gp/Hr)(Xp/Hr) = Yeah. Do this. Tbh if I was you I'd just do something with AFK value like, um, Bandits. You clearly don't have the attention span for real combat. I piety the fool.
Low C
If you look at the tip.it dag kings guide which is outdated you'll see the noob setups people used back in the day. It's on the main page under monster hunting. I think you are stubborn so I'll just quit replying to all of your threads since you don't really let our advise sink in.
